I saw that, and while it's pretty freakin sweet - it ain't no 720. He takes off like 180 degrees turned already, but still.... SICKLY ATHLETIC on his part. I knonw it's knit-picking, but it ain't a 720 IMO.

I'm surprised no one in the NBA Dunk Contest has tried that yet.

yo, i think when he takes off he's already turned his feet and body and he's looking at the other basket instead of the one he's dunking on. anyway, it's semantics and it's still a sick piece of athleticism on his part. props to him for not getting dizzy and slamming it home with authority! i'm giving him a 690, hahaha....

You guys are all crazy, it's only a 540. When he leaves his feet you are looking at his back, then when he dunks he's on the other side of the basket and you are looking at his chest. So it's 1.5 turns. Still better than I could do.

Guys, lets give the dude credit....impressive enough either way.

I remember when I was playing high school hoops and did a 720. The only difference was that I came from straight on...and I threw the ball off the backboard, completed my 720, caught the ball and finished the dunk. As someone who has done this, I can't stress how difficult it really is. It takes incredible athleticism, hand-eye coordination and body control. His dunk wasn't as impressive as mine. I did mine in a high school game when we were down by 1 point with 5 seconds left. Even more impressive was that I'm a pasty 6 foot white boy. Unfortunately, there was no "youtube" when I was in high school...so you'll all just have to take my word for it.

Did I mention that I was grabbing my nuts when I did the 720...and I did it over a guy. He was called for blocking. I finished off my performance by hitting the free throw with my eyes closed, ala Michael Jordan....but it was backwards instead of frontwards. We won the game by 2 points and I nailed the head cheerleader after the game.

All in all, I've seen better and performed better myself....but lets not nitpick on whether it was a 540, 650 or 720. It was good all the same.

Hard as shit.....and I could throw it down rather easily in my day....not no more...knee surgerys ruin verticals.....but the difficulty is off the charts....
