LMFAO. Go Clippers.
Really, I think they have as good of a shot as anyone if they stay healthy though, and at 25/1, I think you got good value there to take a shot with.
Obviously everyone knows about Brand, but most forget Maggette was hurt all of last season, and probably really wasn't at the top of his game even in the playoffs, and how great he can be when he's got his "A" game.
I also like that Livingston (PG behind Cassell) has another year under his belt. For those who don't know, he is a 3rd year guy (this year) who came straight from high school, and has a ton of talent, which was really beginning to show by the end of last year. He's still only 20 years old, but this may be the year he breaks thru and becomes a real star. More than a solid back up to Cassell, and may even become the starter till the year is over. If not, then next year for sure.
Tim Thomas LOOKS like a good pick up as well, after the way he was nailing 3's in the playoffs last year for the Suns. More than an ample replacement for Radmonovich IMO....because he can play forward or even center for small periods of time (although I don't think he can be relied on to be the main center), where as Vladdy really wasn't center material at all, even though the Clips used him there at times last year when Kaman and Brand were both out of the game.
Ross and Mobley are always consistant on both sides of the floor, and Kaman keeps getting better as the starting center too.
The Clippers could be one powerful team this year if all goes right

we laugh...but I honestly think there is alot of value here. The only reason the are 25-1 is because they are thought of as "that other team from LA".
I really became a fan of the Clippers last year...
I love pass-first PG's like Livingston as he should own most oppositions he faces this year...and he's one of my favorite players in the league today. Cassell should play a slightly more limited roll, but he is clutch and he knows how to win, period.
Quinton Ross has earned his make the hard way, the dude just doesn't screw up at all, and plays great defense, but he can also put the ball through the hoop if necessary.
Mobley...can flat out score the ball, but takes some bad shots sometimes, but still I would want him on my team (well at least every other night or so). Ewing adds depth, not a terrible player by any means.
Now at forwards, we start with Brand who is undersized but plays about 5 inches taller than he really is. Name 10 guys you'd rather have night-in and night-out. Defense...offense...he has it all. Singleton is good and has another year under his belt. We also brought in Tim Thomas who should make us forget about...what's that guys name?...that one tall 3 point shooter guy?
At center we have Kaman who can rebound the fuck out of the ball, and also score alot on certain nights. He always has a snotty nose and his allergies always start acting up by the 2nd half but even a slow, tired, goon like him can rebound even when he's weak. Then there's Rebraca for some depth.
Oh my god and I almost forgot...the coach is a genious too.
Why can't they do this??

Radmanovic.
Also, how do you do a Clippers write-up and neglect Corey Maggette? Maybe cause he's always hurt, but the guy take it to the hole with the best of them.

Well, now I'm not going to go and say the Clippers are going to the finals, but they do have a chance. Quite honestly you could have said before the baseball season:
Three reasons the Tigers can't make the world series:
Yankees
Red Sox
White Sox
Hell, you could have even added Twins, Angels, A's, Blue Jays.
All of those teams looked better than Detroit on paper before they started playing the season.
But it happened.
The Clips have a good team, and new ownership is serious about NOT being the "other LA team" anymore. They already have a very solid team, and will also pick up guys at the trade deadline if necessary, just like they did last year.
Now consider....they had the Suns beat last year in the playoffs. Whoever that was for the Suns (i forget) that hit the miracle 3 in game 5 misses that shot...and the Clippers win the series. Hell the Lakers had the Suns beat and they were more or less a one man show, even if that one man was Kobe....still, basically one man and a bunch of guys who took the floor with him most nights.
Nash isn't getting any younger either, and that team sucks ass without him on the floor.
The Spurs were still good last year, but not dominating like they were in their championship years. They could just as easily take another step back as they could forward.
Dallas. That team still goes thru Dirk, who once again proved that he's not going to carry a team to any titles in last year's finals.
All of this could change...or a team could come completely out of nowhere once the season starts...but at 25:1 before even seeing a game, you're getting great value on the Clips if they stay healthy....which is always a concern with any future wager anyway.
