Phoenix +270 Regulation 1 Unit

Phoenix has lacked passion when I have seen them play, especially against Dallas but they were killikng penalties the whole time. Phoenix has been losing pretty badly but it isn't as if they were expected to win all those games. Calgary on the other hand has lost some games they are capable of winning and just aren't getting it done. This is a horrible spot for Phoenix in the back to back and Calgary coming off a 4 day break but I just think this is too much for Calgary.

I realize this points to an easy Calgary victory tonight but at these odds I think it is worth a taste of Phoenix as they will be playing with urgency and have been tested with the tougher schedule to this point.

I agree there is some prospect for Phoenix, but I can't take them with Morrison at goalie. I hope he steps up for you tonight though, that's all you really need IMO but the position is obviously critical.

The reports during the last Phoenix game I saw (Dallas) were that they had spent a majority of their recent practice time on special teams and that is one thing that has really killed them. They are allowing 2 PPG's a game and all of the time PK really seems to break up any rhythm they get. Calgary hasn't been very effective on the power play yet so that should help Phoenix. A few less penalties, more even strength and power play time on offense would go a long ways to getting a W. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if they get whiped out in the second game of the back to back.

Morrison has also given up 6 of his 9 goals (in starts) on the PP so that should be a big key. We'll see if Phoenix plays a more disciplined brand of hockey tonight.

Gotta agree with you... Phoenix is defenitley worth a taste at that price. Poeple may not think so, but these teams are playing very similar hockey at the moment so it's worth a gamble IMO.
