Haven't liked much the past couple of days, but I'll play one game tonight...
Flames -0.5 goals (Reg) -146 vs Coyotes
Two struggling teams, but Calgary has the advantage tonight with the deeper lineup, better goaltending (wake up kipper!), and better spot in the schedule. It is always hard to wn the second game of the back to back Alberta series, especcially for the worst team in the NHL. Calgary's had trouble scoring, but have the talent with Iginla, Tanguay, Lombardi and Phaneuf. Phoenix might be the team to get these Flames going, as the Coyotes have allowed a league-high 38 goals this season, and also have a league-high 89 penalties. Flames 4-1.

like the play just couldnt bring myself to lay that juice for it. I'd take that juice on a ml win but for reg it scared me off.

yeah, flmm.....the ML was nuts for a struggling team like Calgary....I always go to the -.5 goals when I really like a game, but am scared of the juice.
Really think they pull it out to night against Gretzky and his old, slow bad team. Nice signings in Nolan and Roenick. LOL.

I like the -.5 REG bet over the -1 bet tonight because of Kipper's performance. I expect a low scoring game, with the flames focusing on defense tonight. In the last 3 games the flames have scored an average of 4.33 goals, so I don't think the problem lies in their offence. They just need to find the right balance.
I agree that the flames are about to get hot. I wouldn't be surprised if they play well in their next 5 games.

Yes, this play will likely be my only one as well. I'm not sure how to play it though. I'm going to look at the odds for Calgary in the 3rd period only when I get home. Since I'm expected the flames to control the pace I think they'll tire the coyotes out by the 3rd.

Liked that play myself, but didn't go thru with it. For some reason I just don't trust Calgary to open up enough of a lead to lay any goals with them.
GL with it

Calgary's up 5-1. Looks like a win. The play was solid, really should have hit it for more...
Wow is Phoenix bad :flush:

Nice call JML!
I thought Phoenix would at least keep it close, maybe lose by a goal but wow, are they ever bad!!! 9 Power Plays and nothing to show for it... hell, they gave up a SH goal, and god damn penalty shot!

Forget just demoting Morrison they should get rid of CuJo too. They can't stop anything or generate quality SOG. Real real bad.
