I know for a fact that when going into overtime, kickers get bribed to miss the extra point so that teams can cover 3 to 8 point spreads. I happened to meet and talk to a former NFL kicker at a bowling alley. He told me that before games, kickers would practice "barely missing the goal post." He said that they were told to practice making it believable. Then before the kick, he would get a discreet signal on the sideline.

This opened my eyes.

Last night, it was Oklahoma State going into overtime with A&M. They lost 34-33 due to missed extra point. It has happened rarely in the past, but this year it has happened more than 7 times.

Another thing, these weekday games are ridiculous. I will never bet over and the favorite together in a weekday game. It has only been profitable once (Pitt last week). Why is this? After paying. The public loves to bet favorites and over. Weekday games are bankrolling Vegas with underdogs and unders.

Finally, there have been a large number of "blown calls" lately. Especially in the NFL.

It came to my attention after Troy Polamalu's interception was overturned in the Indianapolis game, even after review. Indy was supposed to win that game but lose to the spread. Peyton Manning was to break his playoff curse with a comeback victory. But things went drastically wrong.

With great QBs on great teams, sometimes the only way for them to cover is to win the game on a great comeback. See John Elway, see (old school) Brett Favre, see Tom Brady. These QBS are known for their great "comeback" ability. No, they are known to win the game but lose to the spread to Vegas. Recent evidence would be Tennessee vs Colts two weeks ago or Colts vs Jets three weeks back. Why wouldn't a QB want to be known for his "clutch" performance. But 14-13 in a Colts/Titans game. GIMME A BREAK.

It is not about championships, its about money. Other sports do the same thing.
Is this a coincidence? No.
Football is a billion dollar business for a reason.

With all this being said, bet the fishiest unbettable line today.
-6 Miami Dolphins. Bet the bank on it. Let's see if it comes through.
