Haven't posted since last season's NHL season ended. I wanted to wait a couple of weeks before posting plays. Hopefully this season will go better than last season.
Start off with 3 games…
NYR (-1.09) over New Jersey -- 1 unit
I see the Rangers bouncing back from 3 pretty bad losses. After giving up 11 goals in the last 3 games, I also see Lundquvist bouncing back after giving up 6 goals to Pittsburgh. New Jersey coming off back to back wins against arguably two not so offensively talented teams in Toronto and Philly. Rangers bounce back at home.
Edmonton and Vancouver UNDER 6 (-1.35) -- 1.5 units
One thing you don't see a lot of is Luongo giving up more than 4 goals in a game and he gave up 6 in his last game vs. the Sharks at home. You can almost be assured that this won't happen again tonight. I see the Canucks being a 1 line team and the Oilers can definetely shutdown the Sedin's and Naslund line. I don't see the Canucks coming out on top, but I don't see the Oilers scoring more than 3 goals either…..hopefully Luongo starts though. The other thing that I like about the under is this is Luongo's 2nd start in front of his home fans, he's gotta give them something special tonight. A Shutout would be nice :)
Nashville (-1.28) over NYI -- 1.5 units
Another thing you won't see a lot of this season is the NYI winning more than 3 games in a row and after winning against Boston and Anaheim, I see Nashville romping through them tonight. Nashville should have a lot of confidence in this one after getting win number 1 out of the way and now will hopefully start a mini streak of there own. Kariya, Sullivan and Arnott only have 4 goals amonst the 3 of them, I hope that changes tonight too. Nashville's depth should get them through this one!
