Not going to be around Saturday afternoon....so I'll post my Saturday night plays now...three dogs who I think are just as good if not better than their favoured opponent...
BlueJackets +175 vs Wild
You have two teams who are playing well out of the gate...and you give one a +175 line like this? Value of the century. Minny is not going 82-0. Columbus is a good team this year, have 3 solid scoring lines, and a healthy Nash. Zherdev and Vryborny look like they are primed for big years...and goalie Leclaire looks like the real deal. Much like the Penguins on Thursday at +192, I'd be crazy not to take a stab at this.
Blackhawks +108 vs Blues
Another generous line against one of the bottom 5 teams in the league. St. Louis really should be winless in 4 after getting a gift from Boston thursday down 2-0 with 4 mins to go. This is a bad team missing 3 or their top 4 defencemen. Chicago is playing better than expected going 2-1 with 2 wins over a solid Nashville team. Havlat is playing all-world, and seems to be clicking with centreman Hadzus. I'll take the better team as a dog.
Oilers +108 vs Avs
Another road dog who is the better team. Oilers have sick scoring depth, and solid goaltending. They smoked the Sharks last night, who most people think are a top 3 team, afetr splitting 2 with Kipper and the Flames. Avs have no depth and question marks in goal.
