questions on betting

hey im from canada and the bettin here is a bit different. im betting on proline and i have to pick 3 games as a minimum and we multiply the odds together then multiply that by the amount you bet. im just kinda curious how this -130 and + 120 thing works. and do u guys have a minium amount of games that you ned to bet on a night like me? and where are you guys doing your betting? an internet site?

Do yourself a favour and sign up with an online book. Proline is a ripoff by the governement. They are using mandatory "parlays", and giving shitty odds and payouts at that. Veteran gamblers usually consider parlays a sucker bet. Why not just bet the three games you like best indivdually and if you win 2/3 you still win! With Proline you place a bet, you lose one game....your screwed. Also, even if you win, you don't get your bet back....just your under-valued winnings? Brutal.

Dude....go online....tons of great sposored sites in the link above, but generally Pinnaclesports.com is the best.

The betting lines mean:

-130 means the team is favoured and you have to bet $130 to win $100 (or $13 to win $10 etc).

+120 means you have a dog, and you have to bet $100 to win $120 (or $10 to win $12).

thanks for the info. but the problem is i have no credit card to put money on the internet with, and pinicale wont let canadians join.

Like JML said, do yourself a favor by opening an account with online sportsbook. It is so much better, it is not even a comparisson. With this proline bullshit, you are getting so ripped off. The best thing about online sportsbook is you have so many options and you can bet single bets instead of parlays. You can bet on first halfs of a game, even seconds halfs, heck you can bet literally on almost anything.

The best online sportsbook I have found and you will probably like it is 5dimes, it gives you so many options. Check it out its great.
