Heading to Boston in a couple weeks, and I'm going to be taking in a Bruins game on the Saturday. We figure we'll go downtown in the afternoon and find some watering holes. Any suggestions on where we should have our pre-game "prime-up" festivities? Is there a good sports bar scene around the TD Banknorth Garden?

Thanks in advance

I know. Brutal.
I actually had to google to find out what the actual bloody name was.

The best is Nashville's hockey arena name "Gaylord Center".
Sounds pretty intimidating.

Ahhh...the good 'ol days.

thats pretty much in the north end, actually it is...there are some...well, actually all of the good bars are by the universities or in fenway. not many that i recall in the Northend. but i liked CUgly. and some other local spots. McGanns is alright as well. its right off of Portland St. which is across from TD Bruinsneednewownership Gardens.

if you need a map here it is:

Stop in and get a drink from Sam Malone!!!! Does he still work there, or is he trying to make a comeback as a right specialist in the Sawx pen?
