LaGrange Ga, finest Linebacker ever is ready too suit up. His circumstances are:

1) Starting LB been suspended the first 6 games for having a sip of beer.

2) His size, speed, and overall athleticism will make the Auburn defensive unit just a little bit more hyped this week than in the past weeks.

4) I can't state it anymore how important Tray Blackmon is too the Auburn Defense. This unit should be a little more focused as they play the Gators Spread attack.

Watch Blackmon shut down Tebow and Leak this weekend!

Agreed! Forcing 13 fumbles his last two years at La Grange. He is a hard hitting LB. Once you see him, he will remind us all a little of Pollack ( Best LB in the nation 2 years ago).

I see the tigers rolling in this one. Will be a good game. Florida has had two tough weeks in a row, and this will be their first loss. Late game, Game day, drunk students (including me) and a new looking offense, and a "tebow defense" will shut down the Gators.

Blackmon's nickname that was given to him by the upperclassmen last year pretty much sums up how he plays. They call him the "Little Ball of Pain."

One linebacker will not effect The entire team. Auburns "D" has look average to me. I know cause ive bet on them the last 2 weeks and seen avg teams move the ball pretty easily. Auburn also has an average "O". They move down in the rankings to #18 after saturday. It will be a good game but FL defense is better and their offense is better too. 23-13 Gators!

I don't think he's going to be the terror that everyone else does at first. He hasn't played a football game in a year and a half. Now this will make him hungry, but he will have to shake off a little rust.

Also, he has nothing to do with Herring starting (who has been good until the Arky game). Herring is strong side, ,Blackmon is weakside.

Regardless, I'll be in attendance cheering em on.

Well S.Car. was and is a different team than the frist game. If they had to play Georgia all over again, no way they would be shut out. Auburn prepared for a pocket QB and what they got was a D.J. schockley. Not as effective by any means, but when you prepare for a man to man D and end up getting a QB that runs it is pretty tough to change your game plan. Noone had seen Newton that was worth a shit until Auburn.

Arkansas had a week to prepare. Not making excuses, but that is always a benefit. Auburn played horrible. They were looking ahead to Florida and in the SEC if you do that you will pay. Auburn is a good team coming off a loss, and an even better team at 6:45 in Jordan Hare.

How the hell do u come up with 23? If you hadn't noticed the Florida kicker HAS NOT MADE A KICK ALL YEAR, so now you think he will make 3?

Real Reason

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. 11:00 am vs 6:45 pm? Huge Difference in my humble opinion. 2. The return of our best Linebacker on defense. 3. A loss sometimes can only make you better, ecspecially an ass beating at home. 4. Tim Tebow is good, but is he great? Not just yet. 5. Public pounding gators harder than a Milf after beerFest....never a good sign for Road Chalk.

One LB can affect the performance of a defense, not only because of his talent, but his presence could be enough to make the other guys more confident.

See the return of LB Toal for BC last night for an example.

And, I believe David Pollack (now of the cincinnati bengals i believe, and out for the year with a broken neck) was a LB at UGA, not a DE.

But let's hope Blackmon makes a bigger impression than I think he will.

Was a DE and a LB. Was the captain of the Defense, but his position was a LB.

I have to admit I was sketical that Blackmon would make THAT big of an impact. But I am starting to get intrigued....

He's is a big time threat. New defense had to be made around Tebow and he was who they looked to. Blackmon could take a couple players out, hopefully Tebow....Just until Sunday

I remember the Blackmon arrest. He was just walking around, right? Don't think there was anything else to it... simply arrested for being underage w/ a few beers in him.

I'd forgotten all about him since then. Has he been allowed to practice with the team?

I understand he hits like a truck and could make a big difference, but if he's not been at practice, then he could end up hurting the team. From his weak-side linebacker position, I would think he has some coverage responsibilities. Given the number of players Florida sends out into pass patterns, I would think he might miss an assignment or two.

Florida hasn't played all that well on offense. They haven't made a FG all year and who knows if they will have a running game or not. That being said, I'm still laying the points with what I think is the best team.
