People keep saying Ravens offense isn't that great and they use analysis of the game against the chargers. HELLO PEOPLE!!! The chargers have the number one ranked defense in the NFL and the Ravens not only put up points, but won the game. People also knocked San Diego for running the ball too much instead of passing against the Ravens highly touted dbs. Well the Ravens shut down a great SD RB, one which the broncs have nothing like. SD is 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards just behind Broncos. I don't see why Ravens won't stop the run two weeks in a row. Sorry people backing Denver, but Denver has nothing but a run game. You can't overlook San Diego's win last night over the Steelers which they pulled off impressively in the second half. The Ravs win over SD impresses me much more than Denver's small victory over the Chiefs without Trent Green or the Pats. The Broncos win over the Pats had to do with blown coverages on third downs. Broncos won't be so lucky tonight. Take away the two passing tds of 32 yards (which we will give 3 points) and 83 yards (both on 3rd downs) and Pats win 7-6. I'm taking the under tonight and I expect a 10-3 type win in favor of the ravens. I have Ravens on the money line, ravens with the spread, ravens with the spread first half, first half under, and total game under. Looking to roll big here! I don't see how 59% of the public is on the Ravens, because all these posts are in favor of the less than impressive Broncos. Anyhow, a too good to be true line here in favor of the Ravens.
BOL!! Go RAVS

What about the 14-3 going into the fourth q against the heralded Cleveland Defense? If not for an INT by Frye on the 6 yard line, Balt would have lost on the ROAD to cleveland. Balt was 0-6 on thirds in the first half and McN couldn't complete a pass to save his life.
It isn't that easy.

Defensive rankings are only an approximate this early in the year.
Seriously, if a team plays a couple of piece of shit offenses, their rankings are going to look better than the team really is.
Balt's defense is good, but seriously, this isn't 2000 anymore.
Balt's defense has faced Oakland, Cleveland, TB and SD.
SD was being ultra conservative after taking an early lead with the first year starter Rivers on the road, and those other 3 teams have um, questionable offenses at best.
I also don't understand how you can "take away" blown coverages. That's part of the game.
In any case, GL

You know something is up when Baltimore is a perfect 4-0 for the first time in team history and yet they are a 5.5 pt underdog...

Balt neither shut down the "great RB" or the run. SD had over 150 yds rushing and Tomlinson had 98 yds by himself. It was something else. Don't know what that something else was, but it was'nt Balt shutting down the run by no means. Turner had a banner day with 7 carries for an avg of 6.6 yds per carry. Turner and Tomlinson ran all over Balt.

FWIW, I like Balt too. But when a line is that out of whack, somethings up. I'm taking a day off from betting just for general principle. GL chief

well the first half went as expected at least. balt fell apart in the second half. ended up with a nice profit as i went 3-1 overall. Won balt +3 first half, under first half, under for the game, but lost balt +5.5 on the game.
