I'm hoping this will be fun and profitable.
What team has the highest probability, in your opinion, of covering the spread this week and why please? Thanks.
:thx:

tennessee, i think they are favored for a reason, uga has been real shaky lately and tennessee has a chance to go in there and get a big win

The game that seems to stick out the most to me is the Penn St. at Minnesota game. According to an early line I saw last night PSU was favored by 3, now I see it's down to 2.5.
I'm a fanatical Ohio St. fan and was impressed with PSU's tough defense. The awesome OSU offense scored 1 TD against the PSU D. That's something.
Admittedly I didn't see the PSU game a couple weeks earlier at Notre Dame. But I think that game was a bit of a fluke and the timing was probably especially bad for a PSU team young at QB and a few other spots. I think if they played that game again it would be tight.
Minnesota, on the other hand, got blown out at California and lost to a fair Purdue team. Although Minnesota has had PSU's number in recent years, they no longer have backs like Lawrence Maroney.
PSU has a good back in Tony Hunt and good skill guys who can take it all the way on any down. Their O-Line is solid and if it weren't for their RS Freshman QB I think they'd be a top-10 team.
The biggest factor for me is that PSU has a legitimate running game and Minnesota is prone to giving up a lot of yards.
But will PSU be caught looking ahead to Michigan? I hope not.
PSU has better talent and I believe the better team, by far. I think PSU wins this by at least two scores and so I think a 2-3 pt. spread is a great bet. But I'll hold off in case one of you enlightens on a better looking game, etc. You guys are the best. Thanks for participating! :yeah:

Boise State -35 (or whatever it goes up to). They should win at home about 56-3, 63-7, 58-10 or thereabouts.

Nevada +10.5 at Hawaii. Hawaii has not played the caliber of teams Nevada has. They look pretty evenly matched. I think it will either be Nevada outright or a close game. I definitely do not see Hawaii posting more then a 10 point win here, especially if Fresno couldn't beat them by more then 8 at Fresno. Plus Nevada's defense should be able to shut down or at least minimize the damage done by Hawaii's offense, while Hawaii is likely to give up huge yardage and points to Nevada. 1 unit money line Nevada and 5 units Nevada +10.5.
5-0 last week, and cashed in a nice 6 team 7 point teaser.

Oregon looks like a tasty treat this week.
As does Boise. They should drop 60 on La Tech.

Two plays look interesting:
USC -20 > I think that too many more close games will make their stock drop in all of the polls and with the BCS poll quickly approaching, Pete Carroll is going to make a little statement. I believe that they have either been way too conservative or that they simply did not reload as well as many have thought. I tend to think they have been too conservative, but we will find out and I believe this will be the game. Look for an uncharacteristic early start from USC and a cruise to victory.
One other game that looks nice at first glance is Iowa St. +7. Home dog, tough place to play, prime time game, and Iowa St is not that bad and the jury is still out on Neb after the performance last week. Give me the TD.
