View Full Version : NO at Carolina

Atlanta sucks
Now that I have that out of the way What is up with this spread.
3-0 NO at 1- 2 Carolina
I'm more impressed with NO's comeback win over GB than their stomping of FEMA coached ATL. I have to assume that Sean Peyton is a better coach than I originally gave him credit for (remember Parcells benched him). NO seems level headed and balanced on O. Their D is decent and can get fired up.
Carolina could easily be 2 1 but seem to be missing some pieces. Why else would usually ultra conservative Fox call that stupid punt return play against Minny. He wanted to put the game away rather than let Minny get a chance to drive late in the game. Even Chris Simms got a back door cover on them. Carolina is the typical "get a lead and hold it " team. Thats why they suck as a favorite (7-16 ATS as a home fav).
Now knowing all this why the F is this spread 7 to 7.5? What trend / stat/ injury/ old wife's tale/ conspiracy theory is there to explain this spread.
NO +7.5 but I'm scared because it seems too easy.
I agree with you cassanova. NO seems to have this edge right now. Also, there is a fix in for them to win the Super Bowl, haha. BOL to you.
(p.s. i see you have a G-tech avatar....i may take them over v-tech today)

I don't get it either. NO is 5-1 SU and ATS when at Car last 6. NO definitly has the momentum and the heart on this one. I ought to take NO just on principle

Hey Yomonte, I just came back from Luray's Cavern. Spent 1/2 the day there, and the other 1/2 on Skyline drive with the wife and kids. Beautiful country...
Anyway, I have already locked in with NO. The Saints are on a high right now. They will win SU tomorrow. Carolina barely got out from Tampa Bay. Also, I will continue riding them until otherwise. The Saints made me some $$ with Green Bay and ofcourse last week at home against Atlanta. Good luck to all with the Saints.

Saints will not win this ball game. They may cover the spread, but probably experience a big let down and get beat by 10 to 14.
They played their SuperBowl last Monday and it's downhill from here.
This game is a no play. GL if you play it.
I don't know...the saints could win this game...they've got alot of confidence coming off of that monday night win. The saints are starting to kick the aints to the curb.

:yeah: IMO a 14 pt Panthers win...I don't buy into this Saints team just yet...3-0 but the Browns & Packers can't be compared to the Panthers....Favre threw for 340 & 3 Tds, Delhomme could very well pick them apart. Unlike Vick, he is a good QB GL though

Daaaaaaamn, U88, I get the feeling you don't like Vick LOL. Vick owns Car. Vick has Car in his pocket. So I'm a homer LOL

Not that I don't like him Yo, he is an exceptional athlete, just not a good qb IMO. He can't sit in the pocket & pick you apart..... exciting to watch when he 's on though:thumbs:

Its like he's afraid to pass. Fk it. pass the fk ball. I swear I don't understand why he is afraid to pass. That has always been his downfall.

I think I am leaning toward NO as well. I like the momentum they have gained after last Monday, and their stats against Carolina are impressive over the past few years.

I think ill pass on this game, the line is funny to me, and there are a lot of other attractive games on the card today..
IMO saints lose today by 7-10.

I am worried about a letdown. Monday was a big emotional win but the GB game shows they can settle down and get their offense going. If they dont spot Car a quick 14 in the first quarter it should be alright. Even if they do, I expect Car to let them back in the back door.

oops forgot
Atlanta sucks
and on the Vick note, an average quarter back with excellent athletic skills with FEMA calling his plays.
If Atlanta sucks enough, my man Whisenhunt will be coaching the birds next year
