Carolina -7 is the best bet up there IMO. Huge letdown for the Saints (how could they not?), and pretty much a MUST win for Carolina. 1-3 teams don't have a very good shot at the playoffs....and people forget, they lost their first 2 with Smith out. Totally different Carolina team with him in.
I think the Chargers and Vikes are both in for a rude awakening today though.
Buffalo is better than ppl think, and Minny has never been much of an outdoors team (no dome team really is...but Minny, Detroit and St Louis have a history of especially sucking outdoors on the road). I think too many people have overreacted to the poor Buffalo performance last week, and forgot what they did in weeks 1 and 2 already.
I just don't think Rivers is ready for the Ravens defense on the road either. Another situation where I think many are over reacting to their relatively poor performance last week vs Cleveland....BUT, how easy is it to overlook the Browns when you have San Diego coming in the following week? Plus that's a big rivalry game, so emotion can make things closer than the talent level sometimes as wel. That was a classic trap spot there for Baltimore, and Lewis and co are smart enough, and talented enough to stop the run, unlike the first cupcakes San Diego has played (Oakland and Tennessee) and make Rivers try to beat em, which I don't think he can do.
I also don't really like Washington's chances. Jax might be the best defense in the league, and they just find ways to win. Although I don't feel as strongly about that one as those other 3.
And I do think the Bears should beat Seattle, but not sure yet if i'll even play that one.
Just wanted to add my opinion.

The only thing that scares me about Jax is that everyone and their brother is on them. But then again it work well for all the big public plays yesterday. Jax should win.

Same here Larry. The only thing that I like about that is that they are favored. If they were a road dog with that much action, there's no way in hell i'd touch it. I also think we'll see Washington get a little more action up until game time here. I currently have them at 22%, and I would't be surprised to see em approach 30% till kickoff.
And if you think about it, how much can they really favor Jaxonville by at Washington? They pretty much did all they could do to try and get even action by making them a small road fave to open. Where the public bets is something they can't control, and if they move thru 3 at this point, they take a chance of being middled if the money starts coming in on Washington.
Everyone was on Philly last week too, and that worked out pretty well for them. There's always at least 1, if not more games in a week where the public pounds the bejesus out of it and it wins...and likewise, there's always at least one where they're so wrong it's not even funny though, LOL....so who knows.
It's weird, I see a big % on Jaxonville, yet I don't hear everyone and their brother calling them a best bet this week. Those honors go to New Orleans, Minny, SD and Cincinnati from what I've seen so far....depending on who you talk to and where you look.
It's just one of those games I want to play, but I'll be really pissed if i play it and it loses cause it goes against my usual style of picking a play.
