What do you guys think about the Minny @ Buffalo O/U? 34.5....Minny is 3-0 ATS and the scores for their last games have been 19-16,16-13, 19-16...all right around that number...I like Minny...but I am looking at a mad Loot play on the parlay...Let me know what you guys think:yeah:

I like the under. I think its going to be a low scoring game between 2 sub par offenses. I wouldnt be suprised to catch a 17-10 final, 5 touchdowns in this game would be a lot IMO.
GL!! :yeah:

Thanks Zags....Im leaning towards the over...I think there might be a Pick6 in this one that might help out these two awful O's
GL tho:yeah:
Another question when you guys get to it....can someone give me some stats on West Coast teams (S.D.) coming to the east coast to play (Ravens)...how they usually pan out...Im on the fence with this one...but looking down on the Ravens side....

i cant give you any numbers, but historically when a west coast team has coem to east coast and had to play a 1 pm game they dont do well ats. only one game fell into this category so far this year and that was oakland coming to baltimore. they lost badly...

Alright boys...with a lot of help from you guys I am about .500 on my YTD....Im gonna giver her a go myself this week...see how it goes...and hopefully I wont need bailed out on the SNF and MNF...lol...thanks again everyone...esp Josh....So lets rock:yeah:
1 p.m.
Miami @ Houston (Houston +4)
My real reasoning for taking this is crazy. And stupid...but I will give you the logical reason. M. Williams has to play better, his coach called him out and the entire defense. I think they are going to shutdown Miami and D. Carr will put up just enough points. I think they are going to win, but I feel more comfortable with my 4 points. The crazy reason I think they are going to win is because of what happened on Monday Night Football. I feel the fix was in, and R. Bush was part of the fix, just why he slipped to No. 2 in the draft still bothers me, I think the NFL New Orleans cover up continues...lol...I may or may not being on a train to looneysville...lol
Minny @ Buffalo (Minny Pick)
I think Minny is a team that just finds away too keep it close against great teams and finds away to wins the games they should. Even though the line is a pick...I think they are favored to win this one. I like the Vikes....Depending on weather at game time I might throw a lil loot on the over...I will add it Sunday morning if I do.
S.D. @ Ravens (Ravens +3)
IMO I think that the trip from the west coast to the east is going to play a big factor. Baltimores Defense is nasty...its in Baltimore..its going to be a hard hitting game. I dont see P. Rivers having enough in the tank to drive on the Ravens D late in the contest....This is my pick of the weekend.
4 p.m.
N.E. @ Cincy (Cincy -6.5)
Tom Brady looks out of funk. I dont think he is going to be ok for a while. And the Pats defense is on there last leg, they got real tired last week and gave up some big plays to Jake the Snake....Look for lots of scores late from Cincy...if they are losing by 3 going into the 4th quarter...I wouldnt panic...The Bengals showed they can put up points in a hurry against above average defenses (Steelers). I like em by 10...HOWEVER my play might change if the weather is bad in Cincy on gameday...I might drop it...I will keep you posted.
Jacksonville @ Wash (Washington +3)
The Skins looked sharp last week and I think it was just what the team needed to get that high powered offense in gear....they are at home getting points....I think Jacksonvilles D is solid....but I still think they are going to have trouble with the team speed of the Skins....look for my man Randle El to bust something crazy on a gadget or in the punt return department....go Skins...Strong play of the week
Lets get the loot this week boys....:yeah:
I will post my Sunday and Monday night plays later on sunday...
I am throwing a mad parlay for like 5 beans together on Bodog...here it is if anyone is interested....
Houston +4
Minny Pick
Balt +3
Cincy -6.5
Wash +3
Indy -9.5
Atl -7.5
Det/St. Louis - Under (43.5)
G.B. +11
Chi -3.5

just a thought for the baltimore game.... the travel might be a factor for a team who played last week sandiego had last week off they will be prepaired for the travel and their defense is rowdy too.... good luck with your play this week only reason i take san diego this game is because 1 they had the bye week, 2 they have good defense too, and 3 which team has tomlinson?
baltimore had problems on scoring on cleveland..., but i am teasing sandiego though 6 points probably to give them to me at +3.5 cause i play teasers... so we can both win

Thanks Time2Hush.....yeah..I forgot about the Bye week....but maybe it will still hold true...if you do tease it....BOL to the both of us:yeah:
I don't think that Baltimore is that strong. They are a little overrated this year. Their opponents combined record is 1-7. Tampa, Oakland, and Cleveland are very weak teams. The Chargers offense is 1st in total points scored per game, 3rd in total yards, and 2nd in rushing yards. The Baltimore defense is going to be looking for LT the whole game, but the one weapon Philip Rivers has for short and long yardage is Antonio Gates. He has only had 6 receptions and 1 TD, but he is there when you need him. I believe this game, they will need him the most because the run game may not pick up too fast. Now I know the Chargers have only played Oakland and Tennesee but the Raven's offense isn't too flashy. It might be a good idea to take out the total points scored factor (due to the teams they have played) because both teams are in the top 10. Even after Baltimore played some of the worst teams in the league, they are still in the bottom half of the league for total yards (23rd) passing yards (25th) and rushing yards (17th). Plus, they struggled against Cleveland who has a pitiful defense until they realized they were losing to the Brownies and made a somewhat nifty comeback. San Diego's defense as of now is #1 in basically every category on defense excpet run stopping in which they are 4th (#1 is Baltimore). I think this game will a battle. but I believe Rivers will show up and get the job done.
SD is going to come out on top

Ro. Did you ever think that antonio gates numbers are down due to the lack of experience by rivers and the lack of ability to read various cover schemes by professional defenses. While I believe Phillip rivers is accurate if the reciever is open, he will have a hard time breaking down the blitz schemes and coverage packages that baltimore is going to throw at the youngster. Inner Division games are always hard fought, hence being such a tough battle with cleveland. Look for Baltimores Defense to come up big this game, eliminating L.T. and forcing the young phillip rivers to prove himself against a very intimidating defense. Look for baltimore to win this game in a defensive struggle.

It is tough for a young quarterback to win in a hostle environment....Ray Ray breathing down your throat...Rivers character and heart have not been questioned in the NFL to date. He has also not been tested to make a 4th quarter comeback or a 2 minute drill. He has not had any experiences of winning a NFL game on his own.
Rivers has not been asked to win the Bolts a game in his career, and you are saying that now is the time for him to answer that question? Against the Ravens D? And most importantly on the road? I think he will evolve into an above average quarterback...he is no T. Brady or Roethlisberger yet...He will have growning pains...and one of those pains is going to be named Ray Lewis....
GL to all...these are just my opinions....sorry to go on for a rant....
Lets get the loot this weekend:yeah:

Thanks Daws...I was thinking about looking into one of those...they are really expensive tho arent they?
Daws1089
09-29-2006, 12:26 PM
the systems are not expensive. i made it up myself. its a spreadsheet i use on excel and it accounts for different factors of a football game and it comes up with a projected spread. costs me nothing.

The Vikings will be in a lot of games this year if that fat ass offense line stays healthy. Its no coincidence that Alexander had oodles of yards in Seattle running behind Hutchinson

Thanks Daws...its something that I think I am going to look into...just to tinker with....
Thanks Kevin....I agree with you...part of the reason the Vikes have been soo tough and pulling out wins is because of the strong o-line play....giving a veteran time (Johnson) and allowing them to control the clock...which is important IMO to helping a team stay in games...if you can limit mistakes and control the clock...it always gives you a chance to be in the game in the 4th quarter...
GL to you guys....:yeah:

I SUCK AT TOTALS, but this SHOULD be a very LOW scoring game. Minny style is to be conservative and be close at the end of the game. Buffalo has no offense. Minn gives up QB pressure and has good Pressure.
I suck at Totals
