My 2 cents.
If last weeks matchups and this weeks results are any indication of team strength the Jags are ,imo ,the better team.
It took 14 Pitt 4thQ points at home to seal the deal against what we now know is an overrated Miami team. Down 17-14 after 3rdQ both 4thQ scores were achieved by 1) a one play 87 yard H.Miller "TD" [Pitt had 35 plays in 2ndH - 34 of them went for 120 and 1 went for 90] and 2) a Miami interception deep in Miami territory returned for 6. I'm not taking away from Pitts win, they played better down the stretch and deserved the victory but the SuperBowl champs should have put the less talented Dolphins away with less drama.
The Jags on the other hand won against a much better Cowboy team. Jax ,similarly to Pit ,struggled to win a close one at home, but the Jags beat a team that could arguably be 2-0. The same certainly cannot be said of Miami.
The Steelers are on the road with a QB at less than 100% against one of the best and deepest def lines in the league. Pitt is no slacker on the def line either and both running games will struggle. Couple that with average secondary play on both sides and both QB's are setup to have good nights. I see a close one early thats eventually pulled off by the Jags.

missed getting the Jags at +3 with the line sitting at +2.5 at the moment. the books expect an influction of public money on the faved Steelers by gametime. I'm hoping it will push the number back to 3. If so I'll take those points and put another unit down on Jax +3.

Jax did play a better team ( at this time in the season) than Pitt but I don't think you touched enough on the Steelers played (and win) with the back-up QB. Defense will win this game but you are right about Big Ben not at 100 percent. GL:gulp:

Very good point but Batch has won every game he's started for Ben and isnt as much a drop-off as people might think. As an every day starter he may be questionable but I believe he's proven that he's the best backup QB in the league.
No doubt Ben is by and far a better signal caller but is a less than 100% Big Ben that MUCH better than a 100% C.Batch? Well ok, maybe just a litte. :)
Defenses will make the difference. I will be looking at CB I.Taylor closely. He single handedly almost cost me my first win of the season. Here is a piece of messageboard smack a buddy of mine, a die hard steeler fanatic, and I had last week concerning Ike's play.

In the 2nd half the Dolphins first 2 drives netted 152 yards. Chambers was responsible for 59 of those yards.
Chambers ended with team high ,and game high, 5 catches (H.Ward had 5 as well) for the aforementioned 59 yards (6 more than Ward).
During one of those two drives I thought I remembered Taylor getting 8 throws his way in a row. Upon investigation it was 6. The first 5 went to Chambers who caught 3 of the 5 for 33.
The next play (the 6th) The Pitt coaches put Taylor on the other side and Miami obliged by throwing to Booker for 8 more yards. The next few plays the Pitt coaches had Taylor blitzing. Obviously I wasnt the only one who noticed Miami's explotation of Taylor.
Fortunately fot Pitt they had a monsterous second drive that ate 10 of the 24 2ndH minutes and when Millers long run was followed up by a Porter INT for 6 Miami was done.
Miami had the ball for 9 min total in 2ndH. The steelers had it that long in one drive alone.
Reflecting, Taylor wasnt so much toast as he was soft.
It will be interesting to see how he handles Leftwich and Jones next Monday night."

there have ben some bad coaching decisions this wekend in college and pro ball. Another one involving bad clock management by Jax to end the 2ndH blows a possible FG attempt.
