Season: 0-0
Thursday: Pittsburgh -1
Well, I'm on a bad run so I'm just postin what I'm playin and having second thoughts based on a fairly strong trend toward home favorites doing poorly in week one and playoff teams vs. non playoff teams losing at a substantial rate as well. Still, I can't pull the trigger on Miami although I think the line represents what should be a very tough game for Pittsburgh to win. Miami is all new from what I can tell with lot of acquisitions and losing or letting go a lot as well so it's tough to look at them, we'll just have to see. Losing Roth for game 1 also makes Pittsburgh difficult to get a feel for, Batch is very average it seems but at the same time he never had a chance in Detroit. How can you be a QB when you are constantly dodging 325 pound lineman coming in horizontally at you? They probably lose less than might be expected in Bettis and still have the rock solid defense, as well as being well coached. We also have the fact that Pittsburgh mayor died, and apparently he was well liked and his son will be leading the terrible towel thing tonight. So, it's a tough one to call, and I'm just entertaining myself as usual while trying to also be correct. I'll bet it's tight as hell and we won't know until the last minutes.
