Looking forward to a great season...

Thursday:

Steelers -1 -109 vs Dolphins
Superbowl champs, at home, in a prime-time mid-week season opener.....and I get a pick 'em? Nice way to start the year. Yeah, 'berger is out, but methinks the steeltowners still have the better team. They have known for a week that Batch will be starting, so they have had plenty of time to prepare him with the starters. The way Cowher runs his offence, he doesn't put a lot of pressure on his QB's to win the game anyway. 'berger threw for under 200 yds 6 times last year. It's about clock management, defence, and special teams. Indy without Manning or NE without Brady? Sure.....fade away, but 'berger is just one piece of this Steel Curtain. The Steeler defence wins this one at home by pressuring mistake-prone QB Culpepper. Also like the under....but I'll leave it alone.

GL, and have fun! :beer2:

Batch did pretty well when he stepped in last year. He doesn't concern me....and I agree totally....the Steelers QB is basically irrelevant as long as he doesn't give the game away. That's not how they win.

Ya I like that play as well and took it also. At first a few days ago I was kinda against the play, but I'm liking it now!

Thanks guys.

Yeah, Stif....wasn't Batch 2-0 last year in spot duty? He'll be fine.

Thanks Raven....looking real hard at your team this Sunday, getting 3.5. Thinking that defence might be back to it's dominant Superbowl days. With a healthy Reed, Lewis and Suggs, plus additions pro-bowler Pryce and rook Ngata. If Mcnair gives them anything, should be a playoff year. Most likely a play for me Sunday.
