Here we go with my first post, I hope to share a little knowledge and help everyone make winning picks. Good luck to everyone except those going against me!
Tulsa +5 @ BYU
Tulsa looked impressive last week and I don't see them letting up any this week. They throttled SF Austin and I know the Mormans are a pretty big step up, but I see TU playing a close game and pulling off an upset or losing by a last second field goal.
Oklahoma State -14 @ Arkansas State
The gloves came off and Bobby Reid finally lived up to the hype surrounding his recruitment. It was just Missouri State, but the Cowboys offense fired on all cylinders as they scored 38 points in the first half. Seven of those came on the opening kick as freshman Perrish Cox started off his career with a dazzling return for a touch. The Pokes defense played great and I think the they roll this week by 20.
Ohio State +2.5 @ Texas
I think this year will be a reversal of last year's game. These great defenses will go back and forth with the offense using big plays to set up the scores. Only this year Texas has a Freshman QB and Ohio State has Troy Smith. This heisman frontrunner will take one step closer as he leads his team for a last minute win. Might take the moneyline also.
Colorado State -2.5 vs. Colorado
I look no farther that the history between these two schools. I was at the game a few years ago that resulted in Denver Police using mace and tear-gas as the crowd got out-of-hand. CSU is always looking to upset the higher-profile Buffalos, but are absolutely licking their chops after 1-AA Montana State beat CU by 9 last week. I hope this one doesn't get too ugly.
Notre Dame -8 vs. Penn State
Notre Dame made it past a stingy Georgia Tech defense last week that many thought would be trouble for the Irish. The big surprise to me was The Golden Domer's D. They looked much improved over a year ago. The pressure is off this week as they get Penn State and an inexperienced QB at home. They should have no problem outscoring PSU by 10.
I may have a few more by Saturday, but I thought I would go ahead and post these before any lines change.
