For Thursday 8/31:
Northwestern (-5) vs. Miami Ohio
Northwestern has a more solid number of returning starters compared to Miami and have an emotional stimulus to feed off for this game. I also like the number of solid receivers on the Northwestern team. The only thing that really causes me concern is the Northwestern defense. However, given the circumstances, I think the defense will step it up this game.
South Carolina (-6.5) vs. Mississippi State
Mississippi State's ability to run the ball is seriously diminished without Jerious Norwood and Coach Croom is facing some serious problems with recruiting the best talent. While MSU's defense should keep this game respectable, I will take the Gamecocks.

For Saturday 9/02
USC (-8.5) vs Arkansas
"A toe, a toe, my kingdom for a toe." Ok, that's not the only reason. It won't be a cakewalk for USC this year, but they still have enough on the offensive side to get things done.
