drigger- that is a bummer.....i really thought the LAK were going to get him...trade was supposed to be Luongo for Garon, Frolov and another.....VAN needs to find a top line, though.....Morrisson sucks ass i am convinced.....you need someone to play with Naslund...you aren't going to win it with the Sedins and Anson Carter carrying you again this year.....

I was just talking about with a friend. We need some speed! They have to get someone to support Naslund because Morrison just isn't going to cut it!

Good trade for both teams I think.

Van has needed a goalie for years, and get one of the best.
Bertuzzi needed a change, and might flourish under the radar in FLA.
Allen is a good underrated D-man as well.

They got raped for Demitra and Tanguay respectively.
Must be a $ thing.

It'll be interesting to see where Pronger goes....apparently the Leafs are real interested, and they are close to a deal. Oilers have asked for Kaberle + Steen + a high pick, and the Leafs have countered with Kaberle + Stajan + a pick.

JML- Avs was a money thing for sure. That trade freed up money to sign Blake to a 2 year deal and sign Sakic. They must feel with Svatos and that other kid Wolski or whatever his name is that played a month but had to go down due to some rule, that they are OK up front. I sure don't know why you would want an aging Blake for 2 more years over Tanguay if that was what it was between (and that is what i heard). LAK have a new GM and new coach and they may just want to start from scratch. That team is going no where as it is now. The kid from Minnesota is supposed to be pretty good. They dumped his salary and are probably going to rebuild from the ground up + a couple of guys like Lubomir vishnovsky.

Yeah....same thing with Mcabe...apparentely his wife wants him to sign in the NY area instead Toronto, and that's whats holding up the deal. What's with these broads?
