Big Ben was by far my favorite qb. I wish him the best to a speedy recovery. I hope this is a lesson to be learned to anyone who has thought about buying a motorcylce. Cars are dangerous enough.

lmao....umm lets see....Jason Williams, the number 1 pick of the Bulls.....Kellen Winslow Jr., the number 1 pick of the Browns.....now Rothlessmoron who thought he would brag that he didn't have to wear a helmet anymore.....

so the answer to your thought is NO....there is no lesson to be learned because all these idiots think they are above life itself.....

i mean what an ass clown you have to be to brag that you don't have to wear a helmet anymore........maybe next year they won't make fire gear mandatory for firefighters and you can join the FD and brag about how you are fighting fires in a Tshirt and shorts...

sorry, no empathy for these idiots.......his fault or not.....should have had a helmet on riding a bike like that.....

I thought I was indestructible at 24 too. "That won't happen to me."

Add million$ a Super Bowl, national attention.... Hard for that not to go to one's head and think you're untouchable.
Hopefully the lesson has been learned. He's lucky to still be on this side of the grass. I had a friend killed in a motorcycle accident in that exact same situation, he was just going a little faster.

a nationwide law requiring Full Face helmets should be put in place. Same as wearing a seat belt. A skull helmet would not of protected his jaw

on the hardest, and emptiest, part of his anatomy, so no harm done!! Just another dumb jock proving to the world you can be rich and stupid at the same time.
Besides, is really done for next season? Nothing I have read indicates this at all...
:gulp:

PS...I retract the above comment on Big Ben:I really do like him and respect what he has done on the field, but I do wonder about the list of players that continue to do major damage to themselves on motorcycles. One would think Winslow's example alone would be enough to get the idea across that they are inherently unsafe at any speed.:bang:

We have enough laws in this nation. It should be the persons choice to wear a helmet or seat belt. That being said, you'd have to be an idiot to get on bike without a helmet. Nevertheless it should be your choice.

When I was in divers ed in high school (yes I made it that far) they showed gory pictures and all were dead. One girl on a motorcycle, leaned over to see if she could pass and a car hit her in the head. And they showed her head in a picture. Daaaaaaamn

It's unfortunate for Big Ben. I kind of expect this thing to happen to T. Owens (bone head). He is the one that thinks he is above everyone and the laws. Big Ben is a nice guy on and off the field. He's involved with many charities and contributions.

I guess we won't know just how great a Q.B. he really is. He won't be 100% again. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Please wear your helmet everyone. It was designed to save YOU!
