I've got Sweden to win the group so that's like playing for them to win today.

I ight look at picking the correct score. It will probably be a draw or a 1-0 win either way.

The Argentinian manager Jose Pekerman was officially not available for the press, but according to Argentinian journo’s, this is what he told them informally:

He’d rather lose against Holland! That gives the Gauchos a couple of advantages. First, they get a day extra to prepare for the eighth finals match. Second, they can stay in their current hotel (their match would be in Nurnberg) and play for their fans there. Pekerman furthermore thinks the difference in quality between Portugal, Mexico or Angola is insignificant.

Pekerman will rest his booked players (Heinze, Crespo and Saviola) and will rest Riquelme and Mascherano (small injuries). Luis Gonzalez will not play due to his groin injury.

What a game between Portugal and the Netherlands. My God. Both teams were disgraceful but at least I came out on the right end.

Nice hit benrik, the game was sloppy because the ref didn't have control of it.
I think he was a little to quick to react. Portugal were the better team tonight but with all of those yellows the ref issued it may be a problem in the quarters.

not much. I play for pennies compared to you guys but my bankroll is increasing with some free poker money i won and (knock on wood) the Klose bet coming through.

I think it was just a couple bucks. I started the world cup with a certain amount and i wasn't going to use all of it on props to start the tourney.

I just checked. It was $2 to win $26. Nothing special but where I'm at it pretty cool.

Klose to win golden boot is $3 to win $78 or Henry to win it with $3 to win $39.

I don't know why Germany is favoured so much today. Ballack, Lahm, Mertesacker, Boroski (most likely) and Lehmann are all out.

The last seven WC third-place games have all been overs.

I can't make up my mind on Germany/Portugal...
