Miraslav Klose to be top goal scorer 21 to 1.

This seems like an unreal value to me. He's playing at home for a team that will surely make a run to the late stages and opens in a group where they should dominate. In the '02 WC Klose was tied for #2 in goals scored with 5 at age 23. That same year he managed to score 9 goals in 31 starts domestically. Now, he's 27 - in his prime, and is coming off a season where he put in an unreal 24 goals in 23 games domestically and another 4 in 9 Champs league games and he's 20 to 1?

$100 to win $2100

:drive:

Wow. I didnt even think of Klose but I checked it out at sportsinteraction.com and there he is 26/1. Better get in on that before the odds go down.

Can one of you guys pop the list up for the individual scorers for me?

Sportsbook doesn't have it listed (or I'm blind), and my local obviously isn't prepared yet for it either.

Thanks

Adriano, Schvechenko, Henry, Ibrahimovic, Drogba, Van Nistelrooy are my top guys for the golden boot. Messi and Tevez have a shot but it's too much of a balanced team for Argentina for one guy to stand out so much.

I like Ibrahimovic and Sweden but he has been so out of form lately.

Shevchenko might not even play.

I really think Klose is the best bet but it might become more clear after the friendlies. He did have two today versus Luxemborg

Ibra scored the other day I believe.... If I played a Brazilian (which I guess would make sense since they are favored) then I would play Adriano aswell for the value aspect. Henry looks like a solid play IMO too but with both the French and Spanish squads you never know which team will show up. Raul's odds are odds are so much higher than Henry's so that's why I included him in my original thought process.

I'll probably play 3-5 guys, just trying to narrow it down based on their 2nd round matchups and chances to move on.

I got this from another site:

Very few players are guaranteed a start in Jurgen Klinsmann’s Germany side but one player who does fit into that category is Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose who will be eying the top goalscorer award as well as the World Cup trophy. The bookmakers have overrated Germany in my opinion, however, given their relatively easy draw, I can see Germany getting at least as far as the semi-finals which will guarantee them seven games which is the maximum number of games you can play in the World Cup. Klose, who is expected to be Germany’s leading marksman, has been in superb form for club side Werder Bremen this season scoring twenty-five goals in twenty-six league games and creating no fewer than fourteen further goals for team mates and it was little wonder why he was voted player of the season by his peers. The Bremen striker is desperate to improve on his international record, however, as he has only scored 23 times in over 50 matches for the national side and four of those goals came in the last World Cup when Germany crushed Saudi Arabia 8-0. Germany will have home advantage which is another boost for Klose’s chances as the team will be determined to win every single match to keep the fans happy and are unlikely to rest Klose unless really necessary. Against Luxembourg, Klose showed he was in good shape grabbing a brace but both Neuville and Podolski each scored twice showing there is competition for places up front, however, this means Klose will always be on his toes and will always be trying to give his best and given his excellent form and Germany’s kind draw is well worth a bet for the top goalscorer prize as well as the top German goalscorer.
