13-4 NBA playoffs..
Tonight's matchups
MIA@NJ: MIA will look to double Carter every chance they get, and switch off to Kidd and RJ as well, hoping that someone else won't beat them. NJ's post players are currently getting outplayed, so Kristic and Collins (Robinson is suspended) will have to play more minutes tonight and step up. NJ should return the favor by doubling Wade on the perimeter and Shaq in the post. 60-point 1st quarters are over for this series, points should stay UNDER 188 as both team's defenses must play better. This game has the ingredients to go down to the wire, so I'll take MIA +3 1/2.
PHO@LAC: LAC has more skilled post players than LAL no doubt. They might even be better than the Suns front-court players. True, Kaman's offense is hard to watch sometimes, but the 7-footer has some space in this series to operate, and Brand, his reach, and his jumpshot are simply dominating Diaw, Marion, or whoever else they throw at him. Contrary to popular belief, the problem with LAC is their backcourt defense as no one can stay with Nash or Barbosa off the dribble. I'm not sure who can defend the quickness of those two. And switching off is not an option as PHO has great, quick shooters all over the perimeter. Both teams will bring a lot of energy to this one, and once again score OVER 215. I like what I've seen so far with the Clippers, especially at home, so LAC -3.
