There is a mental checkdown list I go over on every flop I take when playing for higher stakes. It's a good idea that you do this check down untill you can get in a good habit of pinpointing your "PLAYABLE OUTS". You do not calculate odds based on just the number of cards that can help you improve but rather just the cards that improve your hand and not someone elses............
The checkdown is pretty simple.... where are are these situations???
Str8 Flush
Flush
Str8's (mostly hidden)
What low cards can make a set?(how likely are they out there?)
Is ther connected cards for a two pair or gaped playable hands like K J?
You can start to locate any one of these situations by betting and watching the reaction to the bet or just watch the action as it comes arround to you.
Reading hands well can be just mathmatics combined with player type.
Always keep in mind the more players in the hand the weaker your hand becomes.
