I'm sorry but isn't English the American language?

I'm sitting here working on some stuff on the puter, so I put on the Noggin channel for my little girl!

Ok she loves this Dora girl and I never watched the program! So I over hear them in the back ground talking in Spanish and counting in Spanish! WTF is this bullshit! I mean I don't mind her learning and all, but she just learning how to count to 10 in English! I took her to the park the other day and this kid was counting in Spanish, no shit, she couldn't even count in English but she rattled off 1-10 in Spanish!

This is America People we need to let our children learn English! It is the primary language, not the 2nd! WTF is this country coming too? It just fucken eats me up! If your going to come and live in this country learn to speak the frecken language, teach your kids the language you lazy ass's! My kid is going to be speaking broken Mexican-English before you know it! God I fear that day! Hey Dad can I have cinco dollars so I can buy some gorditas?

Dora the Explorer is Mexican. So she teaches both English and Spanish. It's a good show for kids. My son loves it. I laugh my butt off the other day when some old lady at the store said to him are you a smart boy he said yes. She said count to 10 he did then did it in spanish. She said well Impressive. Oh hell Billy lightn up she could have been watching that stupid crap on Cartoon Network and learned nothing.

Yes I figured that out when a 6 year old dark skin girl was speaking broken English!

It's a good show for kids.

Never said it wasn't a good show...... My daughter loves it and yes it is educational if you can get past the broken English! I haven't heard her try and explain anything in English! It is always how to say it in Spanish! Your missing my point here Queen! First off I'm very proud your son is bi-lingual, seriously that is one smart intelligent kid! Learning is a great thing and my post has nothing to do with kids and learning or learning a 2nd language! Its more about how this country is so messed up with morals and values in society! People are more concerned with making Spanish our second language when they can not even speak ENGLISH!

my kids watches it and i have NP with it either. now when every show on TV does it and her school starts doing it then ill have issues. and dora speaks plenty of english in her show. most of what i ahve watched tells it in english and spanish.

Ok Billy I get your point. But the show was designed to teach kids spanish. IMO it's geared more towards girls. I think they missed the boat on selling junk to boys.
