Playoff Pool

Since FF invited himself into my pool. I might as well just put one out onto the forum to play with as well.

Since the playoffs already started I will still include todays games.

So here is the format.

Each participant will be able to choose 10 skaters and 2
goalies. At least 3 of your skaters must be defensemen, other than that choose who you like, but take the point structure into consideration.

For Skaters:
> * 2 pts for a goal
> * 1 pt for an assist
> * 1 pt for a game played

> For Goalies:
> * 3 pts for a win
> * 2 additional pts for a shutout (5 total for a shutout win)
> * 1 pt for an OT loss
> * 1 pt for a game played
> * 2 pts for a goal (unlikely but why not)
> * 1 pt for an assist

If I am allowed too I will post results on my website if I am allowed to post it on this forum. Also I hope I can run this FUN pool as well.

Let me know whos interested and if I can do it. Post your plays as soon as possible. Since it is FUN there isn't a last deadline but I guess I would have to say... End of tomorrow since first game rounds have been completed!

Hey FF,

Do you know of a site I can get Playoff stats? I could simply just look at every individual game but that would get time consuming. If you have a site for me I can do the computations by hand, thats not so bad. I just need a quick site where I can access all the playoff stats.

drigger- go to yahoo.com to the hockey stats and find the ones for 2005-2006 playoffs....by individual...they aren't up yet, but they will be probably tomorrow.....you can list it by points, goals assists, whatever......and you have to figure that people aren't going to be picking guys like Pisanni from EDM so i am sure most of the guys should show up at the top of the list......you can go check it out for 03-04 and see if it is what you are looking for....05-06 i am sure will be up tomorrow....

i don't see the problem with it as long as it isn't sports pick related like a gambling site.......you can always ask kevin and email him or leave a note for CS here.....i think it would be funny to do one the opposite...pick 7 O, 3 D and 2 goalies and see who can score the least points.....lmao......pick like Steve Ott from DAL, Jay Pandolfo, Donald Brashear, Mike Rathje...lol..that would be funny.....

Alright... I will try to update the stats as much as possible. But after this coming week I have a lot more time to deal with it. Right now I am just trying to think how I am going to format it all!

Yeah, I'm a little worried about my San Jose series bet. I jumped all over it because like everyone else, I thought the Sharks were going to dominate and with Mason in goal, would roll easily.

But nobody is giving credit to the Preds. They finished fourth for a reason. Guess we'll see.

the irony in the series is that everyone is talking about the SAN PP......NAS PP is actually ranked higher. NAS was allowing 40+ SOG with Vokoun because they became too dependent on him....now with Mason (who won't stop 39 of 40 shots a night) they have played much tighter defensively.......i stayed away from the series....i almost played the over tonight and i might start playing this thing over.....SAN was so up and down this year...they would win 10 then lose 8 then win 5 then lose 9.....kind of hard to get a beat on them.....

Alright, the format is setup on my excel spreadsheet. So now I just need the players from everyone. And once I start I don't want to do reformat everything again for any late comers. Since the first games have started to balance everything up the final cut of is
