Bermuda matches have been delayed by rain. Matches should have gotten started about 10 minutes ago. You probably won't see results till later this evening but if you tell me the matches your looking for I'll find out as soon as I know. I know other places to get scores but I can't post the sites.

A little worried about this one considering Ferrer has played 6 grueling sets this week while Ferrero has only played 4 easy ones. Nonetheless, I like Ferrer in this spot for just one unit.


Simon +240 over Ljubicic

Simon has been quietly playing great tennis this year and I have a hard time believing Ljubicic will go deep into the draw this week on the clay so I think this is the spot where he might fall. Simon should also be able to get the partisan French crowd behind him against the Croatian.


Coria -242 over Kiefer

Coria is the better player and he simply owns Kiefer. Coria should be able to keep this one short and sweet.


Nalbandian -176 over Robredo

Robredo has traditionally struggled vs Nalbandian, and David always seems to be hanging around in the quarters and semis when there is a big time event. Robredo could pull it off but I would like a little better payout if this upset were to occur for Robredo. I gotta believe the value here is with Nalbandian.


Gaudio -450 over di Mauro

Just like Coria, Gaudio should be able to take this one in straight sets. I don't usually like placing my trust in Gaudio but he seems to be playing well enough to advance one more round against a guy who has already won twice this week as an underdog. Was hoping for a little bit better line here but I'm not going to let the big number scare me off of this one.

corey that parlay is the first thing i thought about today but of course my book doesn't offer the stuff i want, pinnacle has a weak tennis selection, just atp and wta singles, no qualifying, doubles, parlays, or challenger series, sometimes they have sets betting but thats all


but at the end of the day here is what I have come up with for Friday:

Gonzalez -111 over Ljubicic (2 UNITS)
Gaudio -127 over Robredo (2 UNITS)
Coria +620 over Nadal (2 UNITS)


no way can Coria be that much of an underdog, will be closer than everyone thinks, he is a warrior and plays well at Monte Carlo, it's his time of year (however it's Nadals time of year also) but this line seems a bit inflated to me, he's not quite THAT much worse than Nadal is, it's worth a shot

Gaudio looks like a safe pick against Robredo, and the Gonzo/Ljuby match could go either way I suppose but I'm staying with my trend of picking against Ljuby this week he has to lose sooner or later

The line would probably be around -150 on Nadal I think. I believe books won't make the mistake with making this line even cause then there will be a tremendous amount of action on Nadal. If they make it at around -150 that means they'll see action on those who think Nadal is the better Clay court player and action on those who think Federer should never be priced as an underdog. We'll wait and see.

take Nadal if the price is not ridiculous. He hits a wildly heavy ball that seems to evade Federer's ability to dial in on it. In any case I hope it is a great match.

I am very surprised at the blunt and rather dismissive comments by Federer before this match...I quote:

"Federer lost to Nadal at Dubai, United Arab Emirates -- his only defeat in 34 matches this year -- and feels he gained valuable knowledge then.

"He's quite one-dimensional with his game," Federer said. "After Dubai, I thought I actually saw the way I should play against him. The more I play him, the better it is for me."

Reaching the Monte Carlo final has "exceeded" Federer's expectations. The 24-year-old Federer feels he is ahead of schedule for the French Open -- the only major he has yet to win.

"I've got another opportunity to play him," Federer said. "It's going to give me an indication, you know, if I will play him at the French (Open)."

To call Nadal "one dimensional" is pretty strange to me. I am going with Nadal until Federer can back up his rather loose talk with a victory.
