1-0 on Thursday as the bigger than normal play on OTT ends up a winner................24-5-1 L30.....

once again, really like one today.............another juicer...lol....

CAR -180 (may play it double at -1 at 5d)...............CAR off another clunker defensively. Gerber has been solid at home as has CAR in his starts.....Gerber is 14-1 L15 starts at HOME since DEC 13th. CAR can see that top spot slipping away and needs to generate some momentum at some point. CAR is 5-2 vs. FLA this year and 3-0 at home. FLA beat CAR in back to back games in FLA to get off the schneid in the season series a couple weeks back. Last game in a roadie for FLA, as well.....just think it is a good spot play on CAR..... Really expect a focused effort tonight and it will be Gerber in net....i will take his 14-1 L15 and ride CAR tomorrow.

still looking at a couple of others, most notably the over in the CHI/DET game....

just sticking with the one play today......too many variables in the CHI/DET game for my liking.....season series has been all over the place.....on a side note, FLA hasn't beaten a team with a winning record on the road in their "hot streak" (knock on wood)......but what do i know.....

huge goal by CAR to end the period....just :12 left in the 1st...hopefully that carries over into the 2nd and they get off their asses and start playing some hockey......

Gerber sucks right now....thought playing at home and his record there would give him some confidence to play well tonight....plain and simple he is garbage right now.......his 4 goal a night on 22 shot performances are killing my fantasy team, and he is killing my play tonight.....he is going to be the reason that CAR goes out in the first round.....PHI is in the same boat....neither of their goalies have a save percentage above .900 and they are the kings of giving up 4 goals on 23 shots everytime out......you just can't cough up 3 or 4 goals when your team is only giving up 20 to 25 shots per night.....

I thought Philly had pretty good goaltending with Niittymaki (sp?). I hardly ever see them play but I didnt think he was doing too badly?

i can't tell you the last time i said to myself...wow...PHI stole that game with great goaltending....that is what you need to win a playoff series...stealing that one game you had no business winning and the other team leaves the game deflated because they think they let one get away......PHI goalies typically give up 3-4 goals/game and rarely have a save percentage above .900...neither goalie has a sv percentage above .900 for the season.....just not going to win playoff games with that kind of goaltending.....only saving grace for PHI is that in the east, there are a lot of unproven goalies...but sorry, neither PHI goalie is going to beat Turco, Legace or Kipper in a 7 game series....

Sounds a lot like the Canucks. I think we are the only team in the league without a shutout this season. In fact, I dont think we've had one in over two calendar years now but I'm going to check that out. It's just not the way Van plays. Auld probably should have had one versus Minny on Wed but he let in one terrible goal.
