Can you really go against these guys? Man, look at that defensive presence and athleticism down low.....UCLA, I don't think, will be able to get many good looks at the basket come saturday...Farmar aint gonna be able to get nothing.....Hollins, I believe, is too weak up against that big baby.....
LSU ALL THE WAY.....
That's how I see it....

dont see it happening... Like i said defense doesnt go into a slump and it ultimately wins games. Just asked gonzaga and memphis.. UCLA looks like the pick. But in this tournament, who knows, could we be saying Gmason national champs lol.

My point exactly....Defense wins games....I think LSU has the best defense....If you look at that Memphis game, Memphis blew about ten layups....And if you look at the Gonzaga game, well, you know that UCLA should've been outta the tourny in that game..
But you look at LSU, and they just completely dominated Duke in the Sweet 16 with DEFENSE......And they only gave up 60 points in an overtime game to Texas, a great offense....I feel that UCLA is too weak for LSU in this one and they will get flustered with LSU's hard nosed defense....

saint allen where have you been??? Lsu does have a good defense but everyone knows the best defenseout of the 4 left is UCLA... Memphis did not miss uncontested lay-ups, the defense was swarming in the paint. Their guard play is sick, i mean farmar the best player on ucla only scores 5 pts and they win. Do you think if Big Baby scores 5 pts LSU will win???? My point exactly!! UCLA's defense is the x-factor. Lsu did keep JJ in check, but out of the 4 teams left, UCLA has the best defense.. Stats back it up..

saint maybe you should read before you write..." you said ucla shouldnt be in it, ala gonzaga"
Hmmm funny if i recall, LSU shouldnt even gotten to the sweet sixteen, Texas A&M had the lead with less than 5 sec and LSU hit the 3.

if you ask me .. Their length will bother Afflalo and Farmar and with Tyrus Thomas in the paint, Hollins will not have the game he had against Memphis. UCLA is damn good defensively, but they don't have the personnel that LSU has. UCLA's good defense is more about the scheme of things, rather than the personnel.
Saint Alien, I sure hope LSU closes this thing out
I posted my play yesterday
I have 10 on them at 66:1
and another 7 dollars on them at 77:1
I'm lookin to hedge a little, so i may take the point with the bruins in this one.
GOOD LUCK

LSU is in the top ten in the country in rebounding : +7.8
UCLA also a good rebounding team : +4.8
Defensive Field Goal % - LSU : 40.1 % (pretty good)
-UCLA : 41.7 % (not too shabby)
Defensive 3-Pt Field Goal % - UCLA : (33.3 %)
- LSU : (34.7 %)
I give the edge on defense to THE TIGERS. They basically rebound the shit out of the basketball and they have the premier shot blocker in the tourney in Thomas. Hollins can block some shots and has been playin well, but he's inconsistent.
Just because UCLA can hold the Oregon States and the Californias of this world to under 60 points doesn't necessarily mean they are better than LSU at defense.

boy willi knocking on UCLA there arent you lol. Sound like Billy Packer when he knocked on mid-majors and what happened??? Besides both LSU and UCLA made it because of good defense and a little luck... BUTTTT
you LSU backers havent answered my question...
Last game Farmar, UCLA's best player scored 4 pts and they won by 5 being a 3 pt dog. Do you think if Big Baby Davis, LSU's best player scores 4 pts, their d-fense can carry them to a victory??? And if you say yes, you have got to be crazy, bc if i were told farmar scores 4 pts can ucla win, i would say no, and they did. Should be a good game, going with ucla though. GLTA

I'm not knocking anybody. But you stated THAT EVERYBODY KNOWS ucla HAS THE BEST DEFENSE out of the 4 left. Now that is a pretty debatable topic if you ask me . And the last time i checked the BIG BABY was in foul trouble and didn't play much in the Duke game. Oh let me add the game that LSU'S defense held Duke to their lowest point total in TEN YEARS. Somebody opens up a thread that you disagreed on and your acting like it's a crime to have somebody state their opinions against you. AND BACK THEM UP TOO.
Now let me answer your question there. PROBABLY NOT ... If the BIG BABY only scores 5 pointst against UCLA they probably won't win. WHAT A SHOCK !!!

easy there buddy!! Nobody said it was a crime...It called an opinion. i stated my opinion, you stated yours. So whats the problem?? How can you not saying your not knocking on UCLA when u mention ucla holding teams like Oregon St lol. Keep it REAL!! I mean i really could care less who wins it. Just pointing out the fact that all the analysts who obviosuly know my about college bball than we do say that ucla has the best defense out of the last 8 let alone the final 4. Like i said should be a good game to watch. Im liking UCLA and ur liking LSU so whoever wins wins.. GL

I wouldn't be surprised if UCLA tries to take it to big baby early in the game to get him in foul trouble. IMO that was a huge reason why duke actually hung around so long.
