3-0 visits 3-0 …………………….. Dallas scores more and allows less and Austin has benefited from playing 2 weak teams in their 1st 3 games (KC and LV) .............. check the trend in post #2 ............ leaning toward DALLAS based on that and they are at HOME


Georgia at Las Vegas, 10:30 PM

Georgia is the better team and they MUST win or else the rest of the division will start to pull away with a lead (not KC). Vegas allows more points than they score............ check the trend in post #2 ............. take Georgia


Saturday, February 18
Colorado at Nashville, 8:00 PM

Division lead at stake. Might skip it. Think COL wins


Utah at Arizona, 9:00 PM

UTAH scores a ton of points and Arizona would have trouble scoring in a whorehouse even if they had a $500 bill. UTAH might put up 70 in this game


Chicago at Los Angeles, 10:30 PM

Chicago needs to win in order to keep up with their division leaders. They got their 1st win Sunday and now want to build on it. LA just got slammed by Grand Rapids, 1 of the worst AFL teams.

Sunday, February 19
San Jose at Grand Rapids, 2:00 PM

Another tough call, inclined to skip it, San Jose is the better club and GR just won and likely is not good enough to win 2 in a row


Columbus at Kansas City, 2:00 PM

Both teams average about 35 – 40 points scored per game. KC is starved for ANY kind of win and this is their 2nd ever home game. Here come WIN #1 for this franchise


New York at Philadelphia, 3:00 PM

NY has to be pumped about setting the new scoring ceiling. Philly plays stingy DEF but their QB play is struggling. More research is needed, leading toward Philly but the better play might be the UNDER

Orlando at Tampa Bay, 3:00 PM

Tampa is HOME and they score more on average while Orlando allows less. This is a game of 2 teams in the same state (-FLA-) and it is a big AFL rivalry. John Grudens brother JAY use to coach Tampa (and won a ring) but is now the Orlando HC. These teams dislike each other and 1 will likely kill the other so I am going to consider the OVER especially if it is under 100. Orlando QB Joe Hamilton has just 9 throwing but 3 running TD’s after 3 weeks. That’s 4 per week. Tampa’s QB averages 5 TD’s per week. Tampa is the HOME team. I think TAMPA wins.

By Michael Murillo -- Because Arena football is so grueling for its participants—most guys play both offense and defense, and the hard tackles and high-paced scoring keeps the adrenaline flowing—rest is an important factor in a team’s success. But the league’s Friday night schedule means that some teams will play with just four days in between games, and that can affect even the best fantasy players.

It does make a difference. So far this season, teams working on a Sunday-Friday schedule are a combined 0-5 against better-rested opponents. Looking ahead to Week 4, here are the teams and players that might be affected by a short week.

Sportys week 4 Arena Football Report ……………. 02-17-06 am report

I am loving AFL , dropping off just about ALL my NBA and some of my NCAA b-ball "capping" and focusing more on AFL as the weekend gets closer.

AFL Trend .............. they play games on Fri , Sat, Sun night .......... after 3 weeks .......... any team who plays on Sunday afternoon and then has to play the following Friday (on 4 days rest) is a LOU ZER ! …… remember, in AFL , most of the players play the entire game. It’s a very physically draining sport. 4 days rest is a big disadvantage.

Dallas scores more and allows less and Austin has benefited from playing weak teams in their 1st 3 games (1-8 opponent record) .............. check that trend ............ leaning toward DALLAS based on that and they are at HOME. A 6-9 pt win is likely with 10 – 17 pt win occurring if they can stop any late “heroics”. I expect them to be up by 14 in the mid 4th Q. Austin has scored less and less each week and again, they played weak teams. I believe Austin will get X-posed in this game. They need a reality check and Dallas will bring it. Regarding the O/U, remember Austin scores under 40 so I say skip this O/U play. Dallas QB has only 1 INT so far. That is amazing in the AFL.

Georgia at Las Vegas, 10:30 PM …………… GF -4.5 …………… O/U is 107.5

Georgia is the better team and they MUST win or else the rest of the division will start to pull away with a lead (not KC). Vegas allows more points than they score............ check the trend ............. take Georgia but hope it don’t come down to a FG or XP because the GF kicker is the worst in the AFL. GF should win by a TD at least. They are an above average AFL team while Vegas is below average. The 2 GF loses were very close games. Can’t see them going 1-3 and majority of AFL games are decided by 5 or more points. Therefore GF -4.5 looks solid to me. This is the only Friday game where the OVER looks like a good play.

Saturday, February 18

Colorado at Nashville, 8:00 PM………………. COL +2…………O/U is 100

Division lead at stake. Think COL wins. Not sure if I will play it.

Utah at Arizona, 9:00 PM ………………….. Utah +1 ……………… O/U is 100.5

UTAH scores a ton of points and Arizona would have trouble scoring in a whorehouse even if they had a $500 bill. UTAH might put up 65 in this game ............ taking UTAH + total score OVER ……UTAH scores a lot and allows a lot as well. Utah 60+ beats Zona 40-50 score

Chicago at Los Angeles, 10:30 PM ………….. CHI -4 …………… O/U is 96.5

Chicago needs to win in order to keep up with their division leaders. They got their 1st win Sunday and now want to build on it. LA just got slammed by Grand Rapids, 1 of the worst AFL teams.......... take Da Bears ( wait wrong league ) take .......... Duh RUSH (chi) ………… this is another game where a far above average AFL team (chi) is playing what I feel is a poor AFL team (LA). CHI plays tough defense but it is in LA so the OVER should be a good play. CHI 55+ beats LA 44-50

Sunday, February 19

San Jose at Grand Rapids, 2:00 PM…………………. SJ -7.5

Another tough call, inclined to skip it, San Jose is the better club and GR just won and likely is not good enough to win 2 in a row…………….SJ is not consistent enough to be laying 7.5 pts ………….. skip this game completely………. It’s a coin toss. I see no advantage.
