Two good defensive teams that play a slower tempo, but this lower total should be managable to get over. As everyone knows, the Pistons have lit it up at home averaging 100 ppg. and going over the total in 15 of 21 home games. The Pistons should be rested, and they come into this one having gone over in 5 of 7 with one push.
The Wolves shot 56% the other day against Boston, scoring 110 points. Very doubtful that they can stay hot in this one against the Pistons defense. But the new infusion of talent has added energy to this team. Banks gives this team an actual point guard. Davis adds some offense and Blount scored 16 off the bench the other night. Minnesota has played five overs in a row.
Minnesota averages 91 a game. Detroit gives up 90 a game. If the Wolves can come close to that average, it should go over the total since the Pistons are 10 point favorites and I don't see a Piston letdown here.
