Here is a little writeup for you guys- if anyone cares... As you know I am a big Syracuse fan and have been following them many years now..

This game is going to be so far the hardest for Cuse to overcome this season. They are a very young team and at times inexperienced. Uconn has a lot of talent and has been very impressive this year..

One of the strongest plays for UCONN was supposed to be Rudy Gay- and to tell you the truth- he has not been as productive as UCONN wanted him to be. I know that he is the leading scorer w/ 15 ppg, however Anderson is putting up 14.5 ppg and only playing around 20 minutes a game. Their are a lot of players on UCONN who can put up a good amount of points per game- they average as a team over 83 ppg and hitting over 45% from the floor.

The leader for Syracuse this year - Gerry McNamera has just not been that good. He is very inconsistent and is having a lot of trouble w/ his shooting this year. In his last game however he shot 5 for 9 behind the arc and had 29 points! He HAS to do that tonight if Cuse want's a shot at beating UCONN tonight. Syraucse has done a great job w/ rebounding this year and has out rebounded most other teams they have faced. They also have a great defense with their 2-3 Zone and hold oppenets to scoring a lot of points. 2 other key players to look at are Nichols who is shooting around 15 ppg. and Roberts who has 11 ppg and over 8 rebounds a game. Both these players need to step up, get the boards and have a great shooting day from the field to beat UCONN tonight.

Is it possible? Yes I think Cuse is can do it, however they can not get to far behind in this game- they need to keep pace with UCONN tonight! This is the biggest test for Syracuse and if they can pull this one off- it will be huge for CUSE!

If anyone is playing this game- I see the line reaching 3 by gametime- I know a lot of people are going to be on UCONN tonight. As many of you know I do not play Syracuse games hardley ever because it would be a bit bias :P- I just wanted to share some info to you guys.

Well lets hope for a great game on Big Monday- LETS GO CUSE!!!!!

I watched Syracuse when they crushed Texas Tech and i thought they looked great, i played them saturday when they were getting 5 from Cincinatti (which i thought was about 3 too many) and they didn't disappoint

Syracuse can beat Uconn, but it's too tough to play them in this spot

Probably will stay away from this one.

Good Write up DJ

Hope your boys can get a "W"

How about them Panthers
although Louisville doesn't look to be that good.

DJ - Syracuse's rebounding numbers are a product of their soft schedule. UConn will trump them on the boards tonight (win or lose) with Hilton Armstrong, Josh Boone, Rudy Gay, Ed Nelson, Jeff Adrien and company. Syracuse has only Terrence Roberts and Daryl Watkins to contend, and my guess is Watkins will be in foul trouble in about 5 minutes (as usual).

As far as Cuse's defense, they just gave up 80+ to Notre Dame and that zone is not the same IMO without Warrick on the wing and Forth in the middle clogging the lane. UConn averages 80+ ppg and loves to push the ball.

Love my boys, but this is a tough spot I think....

Yeah they have had a soft schedule except the past two games. ND and Cincinati were a very few tough games and they handled those very well.. could be the same tonight against UCONN- big game!!

I got UConn too BaMan so good luck!!!

I love Cuse but there is not one position on the floor at which they are better than UConn, and then bench comparison is nil. The only arguable spot is PG, and that is a wash at best IMO with Marcus Williams back.

Hey DJ:

I will be moving to Amsterdam NY, in a few days. My girl lives there. Will be getting a job in Albany I believe. Would love to have a few adult beverages with you some time and watch a bball game.

Unfortunately, I have always disliked Syracuse bball. Not that they are not good, but always seem to be overhyped. (Kinda like the Bills always are) I guess it is the proximity to the cities I speak of that gives me my bias.!

Hope the orange play well. I see uconn suffocating them and controlling the ball.

Wager a beer on UCONN -3!:prtytme:

Take care.

Yeah - this will tell how they will do the rest of the season- however as I said - they are young and will get better next year.

another home squad bites the dust in a big matchup......really like SYR if i had to pick a side....dome is usually an X factor for them.....still a lot of ball left in the season....

Flyers-

CUSE has a lot of potential- however McNamera is just doing awful this season and he is their Senior- he needs to be able to play well for them to win- I can see this team growing and become very good in the next few years.
