What is the history with this "The Ohio State University" thing? I first heard it on Monday night football and now I hear it all the time. Is there some deep meaning to this saying or did it get picked up from MNF? Just curious if you know. GL with your picks..

It's been called that for as long as I can remember. I don't know why but I'm 26 and I don't remember it ever not being called THE Ohio State University.

it depends how you say it....if you just say Ohio state then it is just Ohio state, not The Ohio State....BUT...if you say the whole thing then it is THE Ohio State University
