MIAMI +5.5

With New England already having won their didvision, this game to them is means nothing. The closest you will see Tom Brady or the other New England starters to this game, will be sitting on the bench in front of a warm heater. Surely wouldn't be surprised to see the Dolphins win this game straight up.

Houston pk

If any game could be called the Garbage Bowl, this would be it. Both these teams must think it is Christmas morning again, they both get to play a team that is actually as bad as they are. The only reason for this selection is that Frisco won their last game straight up over St. Louis and the 49'ers haven't won back to back games straight up, in at least their last 30 games. So why should I think it is going to happen today. On the other hand Houston played very tough in their last 2 road games, losing 2 tough decisions against Baltimore and Tennessee and I feel they also have an edge at QB.

St. Louis +12.5 (IF BET)

I call this play an IF BET, because it soley depends on what happens in the earlier day games, whether or not, you should play it. It is very simple, if Carolina and Washington both win in the earlier action, then be sure to bet St Louis. The reason for this would be, that Dallas in that case will be eliminated from the playoffs, which means this team will really be down and i just can't see them winning by this many points, but at the same time, if Carolina wins the early game and it looks like Washington is going to win the early evening game, you have to get your bet in early on this game, because I feel once the oddsmakers know Dallas is eliminated, the spread on this game will drop quickly.

I thought the NE/MIA game meant something to NE.

If Cincy loses and NE wins they get a home playoff game. But if NE loses and Cincy wins Cincy gets the home playoff game.

Both are already hosting. However, if Cincy loses and NE wins, the Pats host Pitt! Nice reward. Another good reason to bet Miami straight up.

The NE game absolutely means something to them. I don't believe the Pats care who they host in the first round, as they believe they can beat anyone at home in the playoffs.

At #3 seed, they have a slight chance of hosting the AFC championship game too, assmuing they beat Pittsburgh and Denver, and the Colts go down in the division round.

Also, losing at home to the Dolphins isn't exactly how Billichick and the Pats want to head into the playoffs. Unlike stupid teams like Indy who believe momentum and continuity mean nothing and throw games by sitting everyone once they have their playoff position locked up (they do this every season....and oddly enough haven't reached the super bowl yet either)....the 3 time champion Patriots know better.

Denver had absolutely zero to play for yesterday, yet still played their entire first team defense the whole game, wanting to beat San Diego and keep their winning ways going.

Unless I heard "Brady and the rest of the first stringers will not play" from Bill Bellichick's mouth, I wouldn't believe it for a second. That's not how he coaches.

I have to say IMO the Pats are the play here.Miami has a tendency to play the Pats tough but @ home giving less than a touch to the defending champs who are building momentum every game :dunno:
