Can someone explain to me how these robin round parlay works?

Basically it is a series of parlays. If you bet it you are betting all the parlay combinations. For example if you bet a 3 team round robin with teams A,B,C you would have 4 parlays:

2 team parlay - AB
2 team parlay - AC
2 team parlay - BC
3 team parlay - ABC
