Swanson is healthy and playing tonite, correct? I remember him being hurt and removed from the last game but that was a while back now. If anyone knows for sure, the info would be appreciated. I don't rememeber if the injury was serious or not.

This from the Kansas beat reporter with the Kansas City Star:

Kansas quarterback Jason Swanson is not at the top of his game. If the Jayhawks play mistake-free football, there’s no way they should lose to Houston. Swanson, though, has a tendency to force passes and cough up the ball from time to time. If that happens, Houston will be in the game until the end.

Kansas 38-17

Kansas has approached this game in a very businesslike fashion. The Jayhawks aren’t the wide-eyed, just-happy-to-be-here team they were two years ago, when they were demolished by North Carolina State in the Tangerine Bowl. This time they’re bent on winning. It also doesn’t hurt that Houston’s players have fired up the Jayhawks even more by trash-talking all week. Look for KU to win rather easily.

Cuse, This is going to be a home game and very pro Houston crowd. Most of these Houston kids are from the Dallas Fort Worth area and most played High School ball there and the Houston students not having to travel that far. Also Kansas is very poor team on the road losing all of their road games. Houston does sport a high powered air attack offense ranked 14th in the nation in overall offense with 474.3 yards per game, 19th in passing (295.5 yards per game), and 35th in rushing (178.8 yards per game).

Houston is closer obviously but they don't travel very well really. Downtown Fort Worth was full of Kansas fans today. Didn't see one person from Houston.

I know they will have fans but they won't have any more than Kansas. Kansas has ALOT of Texans on their roster too. They recruit this area better than Houston does. Beleive me, I coach HS ball here.

KU QB on the season stats:

Swanson: 183 ypg, 3 TDs, and 10 INTS

Not very impressive.

Yeah, but Kansas played against teams with defenses in the Big 12. Houston rarely saw a defense this year.

Like I said, "Is Swanson playing?"

Numbers can be deceiving my friends... KU juts seemed to play better the last month with Swansdon QB'ing.

Congrats to all who hit last night!!!!
