corey or jerbeek...I got a question about scoring in the POD contest. I see that minus lines are graded the same...100 points. So picking a -120 game or a -265 game you get the same exact win? I noticed this because the 2 guys at the top are always picking the teams with the biggest favourite line every night (-225 & -265 last night). They get their win most of the time because its a huge favourite, and get their 100 points. In real wagering, this is not realistic beacause you'd be killed by the juice. It's not brain surgery to pick the biggest fav line, and this contest seems to be all about that (I've just noticed...the guys at the top musta noticed earlier....lol).

Doesn't the contest sort of defeat the purpose of a "play of day" when you can win just as many points picking the biggest favourite of the day as the rest of the plays? The only way to catch up in this system is playing huge + lines, which are obviously alot harder to cash.

Just a thought....care to explain? :dunno:
Thanks guys!

I have only graded the contest for 1 day but the way I graded it was that if you took a favorite, i.e. -265 and won you would get +100. If you lost you would get -265. If you pick a dog then you would lose -100 or get +265 (if line was +265). I assume that is the way that coreyschucky was grading also but I will need to go back to check.

I went back to some of the old standings and see that after day 2 there were people with -275 so I assume that it is graded as I stated above. In other words, you are betting to win 1 unit if you play a favorite and you are risking 1 unit if you play the dog. This is the way most all contests are run as far as any that I know of.

Cool...so if you lose on a favourite pick, it really hurts!

Gotcha...Thanks Jerbeek!
