Shootout Reality setting in.

Detroit almost got rocked in the shootout as well. Reality is starting to set in and these shootouts are starting to show the luck of the shootouts and how much harder it is to bet with the new NHL rules.

Shootouts are pure 50/50 coin tosses. If a tie was a tie and you get your bet back betting would be so much easier, but even the best bets now you can get rocked if it goes o shootout.

Ottawa was just a pure devestation loss, up 3-0 and to lose 4-3 in shootout is unbelievable devestating loss. I was going to pump a few more units on this one and chose against it at last moment, regardless rf the result based ont he circumstances ottawa was an excellent bet, just devestating upset, nothing more.

And Phoenix absolutely horrible, wow how bad was cujo tonight, it's almost like he threw the game...

I think everyone got rocked today, let's see if SJ can hold up and I might be able to escape today near even.

i agree, been a rough couple of days... been kinda stayin away cuz i just can't pick the winners lately

lesser teams used to play for the tie in OT, so they could salvage a point.

then the NHL, changed the rule and gave a point just for getting to OT, and this made teams come out and really play in the OT period.

now it seems lesser teams are staying back and trying to survivie OT, to get to shootout, where they have a punchers chance.

in this respect, the SO is a step backward for the NHL, in my opinion.

perhaps the league will give a point for OT loss, but a shootout loss will result in no point?
