Will Terrorists Attack Our Stadiums?

Ok I don't know if this goes here but does anyone ever think about terrorists targeting American sporting events? I remember after 9-11 they were seriously considering cancelling games because of the threat of a terrorist attack. The reason I ask is I work for Showtime and have been watching their new series, Sleeper Cell, and sports venues are a very likely target! I know it is just a tv show but its worth discussing because I do believe there are definetelly these sleeper cells here in America now. They could kill alot of people all in one shot and take out major sports figures because afterall, Americans idolize these athletes! What is weird is that I never hear the Bush administration talking about these types of homeland threats from these cells so is it some kind of coverup or something?

Anyways,to your point. Could/Will it happen? I'd say yes it could but nomore likely then the sites that include a shopping mall,train station,school etc...

It will happen again,just a matter of where and when but it's definately coming.

New security rules mean Bears fans will get frisked before entering Soldier Field.

The added precaution begins with Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons. It's part of an NFL-wide response to terrorism concerns.

The Bears were the last team to comply with the new rule.

The Chicago Park District, which is in charge of security for Bears games, was reluctant to pay for the additional security personnel needed for the body searches.

For now, the Bears have agreed to pay for the extra personnel.

The searches mean it'll take longer to get in the stadium. So Bears officials say fans should arrive at least an hour before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff Sunday.
