another nice day yesterday.....
had a tough time with today's card as i'm not laying big juice this time of the year and most games seem like they could go either way.....
CBJ +1 1/2 -180...............................complete trend/system play. NYI are coming into their last game of a road trip, which usually yields a less than focused effort for the team in that spot (Melrose used to say the players just wanted to get the game over with and get home to their own beds). They are also coming off 2 nice road wins in games they were completely up for. This seems to be a let down spot if there was one for them. Believe it or not, the CBJ is 5-0-1 lifetime vs. NYI. They have had 6 days off to rest and i see no reason why this isn't a focused effort with them trying to build on winning 2 of their L3 games. They have only scored 19 goals in 12 home games, but have scored 9 in their L3 games. NYI have been red hot on the road, but they aren't going to win every road game. Seems like a nice spot for CBJ here. Probably should play the ML, but i think the safer play is the 1 1/2.

CAR/LAK over6.............................CAR has gone OVER in their L5 games, as they have been lighting the lamp at both ends of the ice. LAK had given up 16 goals in their previous 4 games before a game in which they were lucky to only surrender 1 goal, spending much of the time in the box. CAR is one of the highest scoring teams on the ROAD at almost 4GPG and they give up a little over 3GAPG. The LAK are the 2nd most penalized team in the league which should create some opportunities for the 4th best PP on the road in CAR. Just see some fireworks here.
