Question on lines

I've got a question......stupid though it may sound:

Why would anyone take a team (for example, Dallas 2H) +1 for
-110 when you could just take the ML for -105???

The game is tied 14-14, so the ONLY way the ML wouldn't win is if the game went into overtime and ended in a tie...(or if the other team won, obviously).

Is it just me being stupid or doesn't it make more sense to just take the ML in situations like this?

I would think the value would be with the point for $5. You buy the chance to get a push instead of a loss if the team only covers the 2H by 1, I would rather have a chance to push @ -110 for the small diff. in money vs. only being able to win if Dallas wins. With the 2 point play now in effect in the NFL that 1 point could be an ass kicker.
