Welcome to the 2005-2006 NCAAB Season. I know I usually do no start early, but have found some games I think could be worthy of playing. Going to start small.

West Carolina +5'

Western Carolina looks forward to having David Berghoefer, who last year was among the top seven for scoring and rebounding with an average of 14.6 and 8.0. The few problems last year they had was their defense -especially in the paint and Berghoefer will help them along with that this year.
This team still needs to improve behind the arc and with their free-throws, which they have worked on during pre-season.

Bowling Green has lost Josh Almanson and John Reimnod who were the MAC leading scorer's. This team will not be the same as last year- they will have to take 1-2 years to rebuild this team and make it solid once again. 6 out of the 7 players on the team are now Freshman.

This looks like a great spot for West Carolina to step up and get a nice season win. I will take the points here.

George Mason -6

George Mason welcomes back all 5 starters from last year which is a great thing for this team. This team has built itself up to what could be a NCAA Tourney bid this season. I think if they work hard enough and work together this year we might see them their.
Mason will be looking forward to having Jai Lewis who is their leading scorer and rebounder.

UC Irvine brings back 4 out of 5 starters, but their troubles have already began, missing Jeff Gloger due to injury. UC Irvine really does need him to help this team along this year and without him things could get ugly for this team. However their backcourt does look good with Fitgerald and Schraeder, but they do need some improvement up front to win some games.

I like Mason to take this game by 10+ tonight.

GL Guys- its early- so lets see how things work out.

Bowling Green's top returning scorer Steven Wright will miss the entire tournament with a borken foot. BG will also be without FR Dusan Radivojevic for the tournament. Western Carolina must be very bad to be getting points here. This is by far Dan Dakich's youngest and least talented team.
