2* Portland University (-5) (-120) Over Georgia Southern - Bought 1/2 pt
Repeat of last years meeting where Portland won 75-60. Portland returns most of it's players from last season including it's superb backcourt tandem of Jeter and Cooper. Portland was very weak upfront last season but supposedly they should be somewhat improved there this season. GSU lost most of it's scoring options from last season with the exception of it's top starter in Nesbitt. Until a 2nd option presents itself for GSU I think they'll have a tough time. Nesbitt is a very good player but I would think Jeter would be able to control him here. Both team had to travel as this game is being played at Texas Tech. I expect Portland to repeat it's performance from last season. Portland has gotten better while GSU has gotten a bit weaker.
1* George Mason (-6) (-120) Over UC-Irvine - Bought 1/2 pt
Two experienced teams clash in this game. George Mason returns 5 starters while UCI return 4. UCI though will probably be w/o it's best player for tonight's game due to an illness. This is virtually a home game for George Mason while UCI had to travel cross country trip here. Where UCI is weak George Mason is strong. George Mason should control the paint in this game which should lead the way to the win. I don't see UCI having anyone to stop Jai Lewis today. UCI has a strong backcourt but George Mason does too. In the end this could be a tight game here but George Mason should prevail.
Good Luck to All!!!!
