Friday: Charlotte +7.5 (free half point add)
Something is wrong in Philadelphia. The Webber Iverson mix is not working and they aren't playing any defense. Charlotte is a developing team, they play hard and they play the whole game, having the greatest difference between W-L and ATS records in the NBA. They were over .500 ats last year at 41-37. Philadelphia has given up 117 and 108 in their first two games, losing both. Philly is a large public play so I'm goin in the opposite direction.

Adding:
Washington +3.5 (free half point add)
The Knicks added Coach Larry Brown but he's not magic and the team is not stable. Washington's roster has changed dramatically also but they are coached well IMO and play a focused game. NY only won 33 games last year but get a lot points just for past successes, and are a pretty big public play. Yet the line on the road dog has dropped. The loss of Hughes was big for the Wizards but it's not as if nobody replaces him, and they looked in sinc in game one beating Toronto on the road. This is a solid team, with Jamison and Arenas they can match up with most teams in the NBA and give them a game. This might be a tough one, a second road game to start the season but I'm going with the better team and the points. The Wizards would love to go home with a 2-0 start on the road and if they come in ready to play they can win this game easily.

Adding:
Denver-Portland UNDER 194.5 (free half point applied)
These are NOT the same teams of the recent past. Wow, the public is all over the OVER and there are just rediculous trends for the over between these two, but again, these are not the same teams. Denver is actually coached now and Portland is a totally re-vamped youth camp. In the three games these teams have played this season, no game has gone over this number. We will see, but I like the possibilities here.
