Just thought id share this trend about the public % on the sides tonight when compared to this past week in the NFL. I personally dont bet according to the public but i do consider it in a small part of my capping, sometimes the public is right and sometimes they arnt anyway heres the numbers . . . .

During this past week in the NFL . .

When 50% - 60% of the public was on a side this past week, record was 6-0 (NYG, CHI, CAR, DAL, SD, DEN all covered) . . . . .

heres the killer . . .

When 70% or more of the public was on a side this past week, record was 1-6 (OAK was only cover; with CIN, NO, JAC, TB, and NE not covering) . . . .

I didnt consider the CLEV/HOUS game because the sight i got my numbers from had it split 50/50 for public

tonight 84% on Pitt side and 16% on Balt side . . . just something to think about

Personally im still capping the game and leaning towards a Pitt play but i feel a teaser may be the best route because whe teasing all the big spreads (TD OR MORE) this past week, all but TB coverd a teaser (CIN, DAL, NE luckily, and CAR) . . .

Good luck with all plays tonight!! :gulp: :gulp: :gulp:

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When the line is large you get more value teasing dogs than teasing favorites.

I can't believe that "the public" keeps falling for these games and continues to lay double-digit points in NFL games. It baffles me. That has to be the easiest way to make money in sports betting. Just take the points when the spread is large in NFL games.

I don't really play teasers anymore, but I used to, and I always found more value teasing dogs UP rather than favorites DOWN as well....especially home dogs.

Reason I don't play them anymore is because it seemed that every time I would hit say a 2 teamer, both teams would also cover the original spread, and I was "screwing" myself out of money by not taking the better odds on either straight wagers or even a 2 team parlay.

I also found that more times than not, when a team I'd tease in my favor did not cover the game line, they failed to cover the teased line also.

Oh, and I would NEVER tease through zero.

I don't see the point in taking a -3 and making it a +3, or similar.

If a team isn't gonna cover -3, many times they aren't going to cover +3 either.

Public did not favor to well on 70% or above 1-7.. of course next week that could change.
