3-0 on Friday....riding a great streak the last 10 days....just hoping that every day isn't the day when i hear that music that comes when your pac man gets eaten.......

MIN -1 (regulation)...............sorry to those on MIN Friday, but man was i hoping that they lost to CBJ to set this one up. MIN is a completely different team home vs. away. They are averaging a robust 4 1/2 GPG at home this season while giving up just a shade over 2 GA. They own the #1 home PP and the #5 home PK in the league. Contrast that with the CBJ who are averaging just 2 GPG on the road and close to 3 1/2 against. Their road PP is atrocious at 8.5 %, good for 4th to last, while their PK is a respectable 12th on the road. CBJ is playing 3I4, including the OT from Friday night. No way MIN loses back to back to CBJ. Different team at home. CBJ 2 game win streak ends tonight. Lay the 1 1/2 if you have to.

Heres how it works... I'll try to explain, its kinda hard.

In this pool there are 13 games you have to play.
The results can be Visitor, Tie or Home at the end of OT, no SO.
You pay an "X" amount of dollars for your ticket. The more you pay the more "doubles" which means two selections in a game or "triples" which means all 3 selections in a game (Visitor,Tie,Home) Ex. 5 doubles = $8, 5 doubles 2 triples = $72

The pot sides really depend on how many people are in it. It use to be up to $10,000 but its around $5,000 early in this season. You must win at least 11/13 to cash. If you get 13/13 you split the pot with whoever else has 13/13, if you are sole winner, you win the pot. 12/13 and 11/13 get cash back but not as much.

So for example if the pot is $6,000,
13/13 = $2000 split amonst winners
12/13 = $2000 split amonst winners
11/13 = $2000 split amonst winners

Obviously if you get 13/13 there are fewer to people to split with if any. If no one get it 13/13 the pot gets moved down.

13/13 = $2000 NO WINNERS
12/13 = $4000 split amonst winners
11/13 = $2000 split amonst winners

So $6000 is the pot if no one wins 13/13 or 12/13.

So, you gotta try to call some ties and upsets in order to eliminate other players but at the same time get games right. I split $10,000 last year with 1 other person getting 11/13.

Its just I like to pick doggies because last pot was pretty much all favorites and no ties. 13/13 = $50 split 50 ways 12/13 = $5 split 200 ways and 11/13 like $1 split 2000 ways. Something like that Thats why I pick doggies why try to pick all favorites and try to win small pots and just hope for that odd week where all the doggies and ties come out! Ties really get people but they are hard to predict.

Past 2 times I played Toronto/Ottawa I played Visitor and Home because I thought to myself, they are tough, aggressive scoring teams. Both times they tied and I lost that game!

drigger- looks good to me. you are playing both sides of most of the toss ups. the only upset i might see is ATL, but they really stink on D. This might sound strange, but CHI/DET is a huge rivalry and it wouldn't shock me to see CHI win that game.

been staring at this one since last night....

BOS -1/2 (regulation).........................both teams will have their backups in for this one. BOS backup played very well vs. TOR last time out. BOS is scoring 3 GPG at home and giving up 2 1/2 GA. NJD are giving up over a goal more per game than they are scoring. They are also just 1-3 on the road. Clemmensen was good at home yesterday, but was shaky in the 3rd when BUF finally woke up. BOS has a lot of weapons on offense and should have enough for a regulation W.

Drigger, just so you know, they don't give favorites an automatic win in postponed games.

BCLC does what is called a "tendency draw" where they take the posted odds and then generate a winner. So, any outcome is possible.

Many years ago, my uncle got 10/12 (one game cancelled) and assumed the favorite would get the win so he'd have 11/13. But, the underdog won the draw so he lost lol... pretty weak

Mungar - BCLC is stupid. I played 5 games once... 4 got cancelled and I had to win the last game just to get my money back...

WTF... why would I want to put money down only to try to win it back... They are suck BullShit! The only time I play them is when the lines are offset. I won when the Jays were 7.5 online and 9.5 on BCLC and I played the Under and cashed huge!

here is what scares me...if you look at all the box scores every night, the league is calling penalties in bunches on each team. PIT just had 3 in the first 3 minutes, BOS had 4 in the first period to NJD 1. it is almost like they are looking to call tons of penalties in a row on a team to wear them down and get some goals scored. i am usually not a conspiracy person, but as bad as i know the NHL wants goals scored, it seems kind of fishy. i mean, how do you find sometimes 6 or 7 penalties against one team, and only 1 on the other....especially if you are "calling everything" so to speak. fissssh-y for sure.....

there is definately something going on. The first 4 games that went off within 4 minutes of the first period there were 6 goals scored...and almost all were on PP. Shit like that never happened with the old rules. What's unfair is that the refs really are controlling these damn games with the PP. I remember when your team would have a 2 goal lead and you could turn the TV off becuase you knew it was golden. These days you never know what the hell is going on.

i wish there was a live prop bet on whether a penalty would be called on MIN here in the last 4 minutes since they are winning. There are 8 minutes left and i guarantee that there will be 2 more calls on MIN tonight. This is as bad as i have ever seen it this year. To add to this discussion I had metioned alot what is being said early in the season.but anyway I do think that if these are going to be fixed they can now be fixed easly as for the old rules that was almost immpossible.I am having a hard time capping and watching these games .The one reason is that the goal that is scored is not as exciting as a goal scored 2 years ago.there is no YES when I see a goal scored .Its like watching basketball with all these whistles.Bottom line is I miss the gritty grind it out hard checking fighting hockey .I would take a tight played 2-1 game like that compared to this open ice european jagr loving shit .

And the thing is i dont recall any true hockey fans complaining about the old nhl ways,but for some reason the nhl thinks this is what everyone wanted.Nope
this is what they wanted in order to control the game and score and therfore becomes an easier way to fix a game.there I said it.

goph- i agree with you actually......i happened to watch quite a few of these games tonight and it is a JOKE.....i really feel for BOS who lead the whole way, then had the token call with 3 to go on them....bad way to lose. The refs need to stay out of the outcome of these games!!

Its rare that I play CFL... Just the odd time I find a odd line with Montreal or BC... those are pretty much the only teams I like to place huge wagers on when I see an odd line. Like today's -4.5 Montreal against a struggling Ottawa team. Just way to low.
