ok here is the reasoning:
Maryland is good enough to hang around with the best of them at least for a half judging by that V tech game.
Last game vs V tech, the defensive captain for maryland nearly cried giving the defense an emotional speech after they broke down.
Such a hard loss and missed opportunity will have them ready to do battle against a team that doesn't have a better defense or a QB that is playing better than Vick.
Duke ran pretty well against the seminoles in the first half enough to get the +17 cover.
Maryland have the ability to run better than Duke and has a QB that is 10 times better than any Duke QB.
I mean how often is Maryland down by more than a TD against a ACC team in the 1st half? Rarely
