I have been looking into this game, and i really like the first half A&M -6. IAST hasnt had anything going for them in the first half, not to mention never being victorius in College Station. A&M can put points on the board. Any thoughts?:yeah:

1/2 HALF PLAY WOULD BE SOLID. aTm seems to bust out the gates then fall back once they got a lead. happened many times this yr. iowa st has never won at kyle your right, but to top it off they have NEVER beaten aTm period. in all honestly this looks like a route. aTm seems to beat up these type of teams but when playing a good team they seem to fall into the fetal position.

ill be rooting for you from the game ...BoL!!! ill be the one waving the 12th man towel.

Im all over this play as well travmarley, I dont post much but the only other post i had was IA ST at NEB and i guess you could say i got lucky with NEB makin that cover at home (had neb at -3.5). I attend school at IA ST and have seen what people thought was gonna be a good football team at ames go right :flush: . The only game we came out and played in the first half was against in state rival Iowa Hawkeyes and that was only because their QB got hurt. Lets just say if IA ST cant get a TD lead at home against a horrible Oki St team in the first half of their own homecoming game last week, no way will they be able to hang with the aggies. Last yr we got a kickin at home against the aggies, i believe 58-9 or something like that, and to the best of my knowledge the two teams havent changed very much. The Aggies are on a nice 3 game win streak while IA ST is still trying to find out what happend to their season. IA ST also can't play worth a :flush: on the road. With that said, im poundin the first half line at -6 and the game line at -10.5 with the aggies dominating in college station. Im a cyclone but ya gotta go with your money!!!!!

Aggies -6 1st Half 3 Units
Aggies -10.5 Game 2 Units

GL with everyones plays!!

Hmmm...not sure if the previous poster is really from ISU or not, but he certainly didn't give you a very accurate portrail of the team. First of all ISU was winning 20-10 at halftime last week, so yes they did have a touchdown lead at half. Some other things you should know coming into this game.

-TA&M is 2-4 ATS this season

-ISU is 3-3 ATS this season (one of those losses in OT)

-ISU has played 2 teams that are just as good or better than A&M IMO in Missouri and Nebraska both on the road, and lost in overtime in each game.

-ISU held Brad Smith to 84 yards of total offense in just under 3 quarters of play before ISU knocked him out of the game (and probably lost ISU the game, because their gameplan against Smith was brillant, the backup tore ISU up).

-Smith and McNeal are very similar QB's except McNeal is not nearly as accurate throwing Smith 63% McNeal 53%. ISU will make McNeal throw to beat them.

-ISU in its last 4 games is 1-3 but they have been playing their 3rd, 4th, and 5th string runningbacks due to their starter Hicks being injured, and backup Scales, out for the year.

-During the 3 losses ISU has fumbled inside their opponents 5 yard line 4 times (all leading to huge momentum changes and costing ISU the game, the 3rd and 4th string RB's were benched for not being able to hang on to the ball).

-Stevie Hicks is back this week, and has fumbled twice in his 2+ years at runningback....

You might be okay with the first half, but I don't see this game being a blow out at all....

Prediction A&M:31 ISU: 28

A few more things....

-The Aggies have lost three WRs to season-ending injuries and have switched their offensive philosophy from an attack that relied heavily on the pass to one that is more ground oriented and features a 260-pound freshman RB.

-They have also lost a CB and a Safety, that's why teams have been able to pass on them. They also have two OL a LB and a DE as questionable for Saturday

i've got iowa st. +10.5. These teams are dead even and I'll take McCarney to have his team ready to play. Iowa St. has had some bad breaks and heartbreaking losses. They are hungry for a win and I think have the edge in coaching. I think Franchonie sucks.

Thanks Lewdawg & Sooner for briging sanity to this post. Those college boys ain't gotta clue!

You are bothe right on in capping this game.
ISU has played better teams than A&M to the wire. A few bounces their way and they are sitting at 5-1. With Hicks back, they will be able to run without worry of fumbilitis. Andthe Aggies secondary can be torched by anyone. The Cyclones can actually win ths outright.

Moneyline ISU is a great value IMO.

Lord knows I'm not an Aggie fan, but this game is frickin' embarrassing to their program.

You cannot get your ass kicked this bad at home by a bad team.

The Longhorns will crush them again at their house!!!!!

See...that's why the spread was so high...everyone thought ISU is a bad team...they aren't. Their loses were caused by fumbles inside their opponents 5 yard line when they were about to score. The runningbacks ISU was playing with were 3rd and 4th string. Their stud Hicks is back...and so is the confidence this team had after pounding Iowa.
